Your comments and general attitude baffle me, but to each his own I guess. In my world, being third at event like this is far from failure, far from a bad result. Its not a win for sure, but its a good placement. Cant win them all (and there never was a team that would just win all tournaments one by one). Anyways, Ill keep supporting Liquid even when they struggle vs. tier 2.5 teams (like they did in the past) and if matches for 3rd place arent good enough for you, just dont watch. The bois are doing fine and who knows, Bucharest may be Liquids major I think people in this thread should be allowed to discuss Team Liquid however they want as long it follows the rules and it's civilized. Some of us are just trying to share our thoughts about Liquid after they lost another major. I don't think any of us have said anything absurdly negative or toxic to be catching nasty attitudes from people who want to make this thread into a positivity only zone.
Of course everyone should be allowed to discuss Liquid here in the way they see fit and I never intended to imply otherwise. I also fail to identify a nasty attitude in mine or any previous posts offering a different pov than yours.
I merely offered my opinion and view on the situation. Hopefuly, after nexr major none of us will have a reason to be sad about dota.

Well no matter what for me TL is still the top team in the world with VP and Secret being really really close. I am sure if they play 10 matches with each team TL will always come on top with a small difference. Honestly though it's impossible to expect 100% from the players in every tournament. It's the same for example with Secret, I am sure they can do much better, but this just wasn't their tournament.
In general though this is a time that I am still feeling proud as hell fro TL and I would never doubt them, they give me no reason too. They are not perfect but surely they are the closest I can imagine from a team and knowing their potential just gets me hyped for what is to come in the future.

For example, when kuro doesn't ban Naga 3 games in a row. but after an hour or two, that normally goes away, and I am thankful, that we have such an amazing dota team. That's because I am a fan of the team since they had their first NA roster. Those were some pretty dark days my friends. So we should enjoy this while it last, but that's just my opinion. also it's still good to talk about their mistakes too, this is a forum after all. We are here to discuss stuff, not only to praise them all the time.
When Vici owned us inthe upper bracket - we got outplayed. Hard. And it was cool. After all we are playing vs the best players in the world in this game. Sometimes they will kick your arse.
But when the opponent has pretty much one viable strat, that kicked your arse two days earlier and you refuse to deny them that 3 games in a row.is showing overconfidence, even disrespect to the opponents and that worries me. Noone is unebeatable. Its good to have confidence in the team thinking that you can beat anything, but you got to be sure that after being the best for over an year now, everyone watched all your games a thousand times, learned your moves, your strats, and spent many sleepless nights to try and beat that. Eventually someone will find a way - when they do, just ban the core hero to the strat - gg. No other team is even close to the versatility level of our boys - you cant ban vs us, thats one of our biggest strengths. We can cripple many teams just by banning certain heroes. We got to use that - all im saying.
Next tourney is just a couple of days from now lets hope we will get some awesome dota again.

Exactly Before then Wings have done the same Navi/Alliance crushed China in the run up to TI3 the boys can take a break, and then crush right before TI and take it down It's like timing your form for the Olympics

Good God, why is watching DOTA live such a miserable experience for everyone in the US? I don't know what the hell I was thinking staying up this late for a BO1.

Sloppy game vs LFY but a win is a win.

good first match of the tournament. Classic Liquid, shaky mid game into gg, after one good teamfight. Now against EG, should be fun. I just wish we would have more then one single game a day

Liquid has had a lot of disasters revolving around Rosh in their careers.

This looked bad on paper. Again picking heroes in to heroes that counter them. But somehow they owned early game, and that gave them the chance to survive 60 mins. Couldn't close it in time. Not bad game anyways.
Everything else was fine, the thing that killed me, was the push 2v4 that ended the game. Morph was dead, but 2v4?

Didnt like their items at all.

I really wish Valve is way more strict next year with the DPC. This BO1 clown fiesta should not be happening at a Major or a Minor. It amazes me how people actually managed to think that multiple days of BO1s was ever a good idea.
Even with the messy Facebook Major where I couldn't find a good quality stream on mobile, it was still something that I cared about despite all the problems. I'm not sure I care about watching the rest of this group stage. I've watched Liquid through all sorts of tournaments, I've watched them through all sorts of struggles, but Bucharest has managed to do the impossible in making me not care about watching Liquid.

The swiss format is ok, BO1 is trash. I also dont like the main event without loser bracket, but i am ok without. No price money for 9-16 is also a disaster.

I get that cuts have to be made for all these Minors/Majors to happen but Bucharest is probably the worst offender.
Not only are the BO1s awful, they're also happening one at a time with different teams each time playing in a single room. How many hours does it take for a group stage day to finish? I don't know how this kind of stuff is happening in 2018. All the years of progress Esports and DOTA has made and we get this. It makes no sense to me.

I know a lot of people dont like it, but i am a fan of the normal gsl group format. Then a nice bracket, where the top 2 teams of the group start in the winners bracket, the rest in the losers bracket, clean and simple. Swiss would be ok too, but those best of 1 games really suck, and are anti hype. Not complaining about our loss to EG, but if that is a bo3, I am pretty sure we get at least 3 games. So basically Swiss is ok, but not with bo1's.
