So: - Secret ends up 3rd DAC, s4 sucks, his lane is always lost, he is not up to the job. - s4 seizes drafting and they go from sucking hard to winning Summit 3, MarsTV and ESL, s4 is godlike! - Secret gets eliminated from TI5, s4 sucks, he was never good enough for the team, he MUST be kicked. Man, these fans are something. Keep it up guys, not even the Xboct drama is competition for you. Also, Mensol if you are around, where is your Ppy god now? | ||

I'm going to finally get to watch the games. Game 1 was okay, slightly sloppy? Game 2 draft seemed a tad greedy with the shaman roaming while desperate for levels. RTZ feed was present I think. I mean damn gotta say, VP.P wp Fng goin deep! | ||

At least I get to see a lot of people shut up. Regarding the team, I think it would have been a bit humbler if they did some scrims and practice instead of "saving strats" and shit. You may even scrim without revealing any strats and just polish your teamplay, but whatever, they were overconfident and that brought them down. | ||

Billion dollar empires have been built from this. ESPN, FSN, fantasy sports, untold scores of sports talk radio stations, mock drafts, power rankings. You can make a story out of anything. Hell even politics has become akin to sports and hyperbole abounds in all facets of life. One week your teams quarterback is the greatest in the history of the world, the next week he's fucking awful and he should be forced to watch his family be murdered before dying himself. Your baseball team is on a 3 game losing streak in a season that lasts the whole god damn year and the sky is falling. You should call into that local sports radio show and tell them what you think of it all! Maybe they'll hear your brilliant insights and turn things around. Hell I don't know why they don't just hire you already. When your team is winning they're "YOUR" team, "WE WON!" "WE'RE SO FUCKING GOOD!!!". When they're not winning you distance yourself, "They're bad", "He's not good enough". Esports fortunes change generally faster than traditional sports. There's no patch that's going to dramatically change football. But people put way too much stock into 1 showing. IMO S4 seemed the most off to me, he seemed to be slumping at the worst time. Sometimes that shit happens though and it doesn't mean he's an awful player. Some people don't get it and odds are they never will. But, we're real sports now boys. | ||

You can't deny that he was largely under-performing and had some very questionable drafts during this tournament, then again RTZ is eating a lot of the map so that would maybe explain the farming issues, but not the drafts ... | ||

As for secret, s4 certainly played bad, like DAC bad. I don't think their last draft was a disaster though. They would have been able to control storm, had the qop been able to grab an early orchid. All the signs in the early game pointed to s4 being able to do so. The whole strategy was working. Zai had too good of a start, rtz was doing well, qop was farming well. Qop would have been able to dictate the tempo with her burst, while storm can be controlled because of orchid. Then they just need to take objectives and snowball on the back of rtz monster farm. The moment s4 died consecutively, game was over. Storm had a net worth advantage over her, while her item progression was severely affected. This meant 3 things: 1) they no longer can control storm, and 2) dazzle cannot do anything in fights, 3) secret can only play reactionary. The game then went under vp's full control; they can choose how and when they want to fight. | ||

What about million dollar coil? What about kuro techies vs fnatic? What about all those game changing hooks, vacuums, brood ganks from zai? It almost feels like the term 'slump' doesn't exist for you guys. Life fell to code B and done nothing for 2 years after winning everything possible in 3 months, Innovation got eliminated 1st round of blizzcon after destroying everything in 1st half of 2013. They are both killing the competition right now and fans that changed their flair only found themselves to change it back. Stuff like "kick s4 right now" or "zai/rtz deserves better" are so cringeworthy it makes me wanna vomit. Please relax, these 5 are all very gifted dota players and after all who can say ro8 in a TI is a bad finish (even tho it might be disappointing), they will bounce back one way or another. | ||

Puppey's performance is kinda underwhelming (but he;s not usually flashy so he's prolly doing ok) , Kuroky was fine as far as i can tell except that one really questionable shit he did but nobody noticed cause everybody only saw the part where rtz blinked intp the void even though AM would have been dead if kuroky didn't Cold embrace on a bkb'd SF who's was already halfway on the requiem cause burning didn't have BKB + used the manta and abyssal already with blink on cooldown while being on rtz's face with 1k hp. That void on s4without mana along with rtz would have never happened if kky didn't cold embrace randomly\ cause burning would have been dead and not been able to blink and live with 400 hp for the mana void. Focus on burning that's what happened. Lol arteezy throw that was more like kky's fault. (ig vs secret g1) Zai and rtz performed the best out of Secret . I believe they are still super good and they some members of the team had a bad day, like no team in dota has never underperformed liek even EG 2014 or new new EG did so. Historically we have seen top teams underperform on some tournaments and own on the next one. Unfortunately for Secret they underperformed during the most important tournament. | ||

I think that Kuro did well, nothing too flashy but he did the job with consistency. Concerning s4, it would be splitting hairs to say that he didn't mess up in most of the ti matches. I personally think that he might be the main reason for secret early departure (him and the fact that they've been studied and heavily countered), so yeah that's why i feel upset at s4. | ||
