I'm saying teams are remembered by their performances at major tournaments. Hell, before last year TI was all that mattered. I didn't say it was an excuse. You don't have to make things up.
If Nadal wins the next French Open no one is going to care that he was shitty leading up to it. It'll be considered a great win and he'll be considered a top player once again. If he wins 3 minor clay tournaments leading up to the FO and bombs out of it he'll be considered a flop. None of that has anything to do with him wanting to lose a masters level tournament so I have no idea why you're bringing that up.
Secretis considered a great team because of their performances at the majors this cycle. Their performance in between matters but very insignificantly. Criticism will be more warranted if they do shit at Manila.
I mean this seems obvious. Or do you think Secret 2.0 was a great team because they won a bunch of lans before losing TI? Who cares TI is just one tournament with the same value as any other tournament right? See I don't think you believe that so I don't know why you would apply it here.
nice practice

can we have rtz kicked plox

hope this experiment is over tbh, no interest in this team anymore

Strengthen yourselves guys and hope for the best to come.
The players are good enough to bounce back as long as they put their all into it. Also a new patch will likely come out for TI6 so maybe the wind will blow your way by then.

Secret needs to pull their shit together I wish there wasn't a TI to keep them glued, I wanted to see if they would disband or if they would actually stick with it and try to improve.

I feel the next shuffle is going to be very interesting...

Welp, EG and Secret out in last place. Time to begin the speculations I guess on what might happen. It's one thing for them not to win titles, but these performances are just depressing. Wouldn't surprise me if they just blew it up.

The weird thing is just that it has been over 2 months since the roster change, they've had at least 2 bootcamps I believe. It's hard to believe they can have such poor coordination a lot of the time.
If they had played decently and just lost to better teams I don't think a top TI placing would be out of the question. But hard to believe that this is something that gets fixed out of the blue when they are at this stage after 2 months together.

im not sure but secret and other teams could sing up for more online leagues, those really help.
in csgo you can see navi, lg, astralis, etc... playing online qualifiers ALL the time, almost no team is invited right away to big tournaments (besdies major to major in the leged status). Ok there are some tournaments with invite system but almost every week that theres not a tournament you can see top teams battling each other in some league
Im not sure why but feels like that playing qualifiers (or online leagues for all that matter) is like "bad" in dota 2, like if you do those you must suck and whatsoever. Secret is 5-11 with this line up and has yet to win a single boX
Scrims are good and whatnot, but you need some of the real deal to keep you on your toes, that theres actually something to lose on the line
i mean, what do i know.

There goes that TI invite.
I wonder if they will change roster and play in the open qualifiers.

Nice perfomance today, still have things to work out before TI6.

well you never know what volvo does. If they get invited to any tournament from now on, it would be a fucking joke.

Puppey and Ppd had what they deserve after roster changes

I dont think its PPD's fault that Arteezy and universe wanted to leave (or maybe it was, I have no clue about the team dynamics that would cause someone like Universe to just leave).
I think post major, Zai is gonna end up becoming 3 pos for EG. Bulba will go back to a coaching/sub role and Aui back to 4, now that the experiment of him playing carry has thoroughly failed. Old man Fear will be back to carry. This way, they can perform well in upcoming tournaments and not screw up any chance for securing an invite by kicking/adding new players, since zai is already a registered sub.
As for Secret, their future is extremely questionable. There is nothing they can do to their roster (except moving 1437 to a playing position which is unlikely). Any change they make will cause them to lose the chance to be even invited to the qualifiers, and put a couple of top players teamless. Right now there are no free agents (zai is questionable since he is a registered sub for EG), who Secret can pick up.
Best case scenario, they just stick together and enter a bunch of qualifiers and figure out their playstyle by going through the grind. Worst case scenario, they make more roster changes and end up getting knocked out of the open qualifiers in a BO1 by a random team pulling a cheese strat.

It's fine, it's fine... definitely win TI!
IDK, wouldn't surprise me if there's a roster change. Universe picked it up a good deal this event but Arteezy has just not been up to scratch. Obviously it makes them go through the Open Qualifier, but the players are sufficiently competitive that they would only be aiming to win TI anyway: scraping an invite (if they can even do that) to hope for a top 8 place isn't worth it.
That said, I still think they can maybe work something out. Just depends on what's going on inside the team.
