The point isn't whether something bad was actually leaked, in fact I doubt EG cares that much about anything that was said in that video and as far as I've read there wasn't anything too interesting in the entire time the sound was on in the player room (the sound was on the entire game I think, but I haven't listened to it myself). Although competing teams probably may get something out of listening how EG communicates during a game, whereas for a regular viewer it may not be as significant. But the issue is that the sound never should have been on in the first place, because players thought that it never is on and they may discuss all sorts of things related to their own team, their opponents, their matches, or even something personal. It was a mistake from BTS, which they apparently haven't acknowledged at all. Luckily nothing too bad came out of it, but it really shouldn't happen in the future. | ||

Indeed MLG had the occasional voice chat, and I mean there isn't really anything wrong with it if you talk with the players that this is what you are going to do and they know about it and accept it. But if they are under the impression that they have their privacy in the player booth/room, and then suddenly an entire match is streamed with voice on (I think this is what happened, I wasn't watching the stream myself so not completely sure), it isn't ok. Players clearly were under the impression that the sound is off in the player rooms, and that also was the intention BTS had because the sound was off in every game except the allstar match (where it was on for fun), and this one particular EG vs c9 game. Of course as I said in this case it was probably just a mistake by someone and it got fixed pretty quickly, but the material was still up online for at least a while, I think the VOD has been taken down because I couldn't find it. | ||

Was there any where in the tournament rules that audio will be recorder and played on stream in the rooms? Probably not. Any way you look at it, this is BTS's fault. If I was a player there, I too would find that completely unacceptable. It's different if it's clearly outlined in the tournament regulations, and it's happening for every team. This audio was leaked for this game specifically. | ||
