Although there are lots of other countries desperate for investment and much easier to bribe and/or willing to look the other way on stuff like environmental regulations. I just happen to be the kind of guy who, were i wildly wealthy, would be incredibly lazy with said wealth. Which of course is why I'll never be wildly wealthy. if you were poor usa would be top 10 as the amount of benefits you get here are p ridiculous. nothing like sweden or norway but it's still pretty generous. if you disagree then you're probably not taking full advantage of the system. if you were wealthy, usa would be the first place to live; there are various tax loopholes if you're concerned about that type of thing. more importantly the country is so large that there's a change of environment & culture every ~400 miles you travel, and the fact that there are large concentrations of wealthy people in every major metropolitan, so it's easy to mingle in those social circles. there's a reason why us has by far the highest concentration of billionaires. ofc there are other factors but point still stands runner ups for the wealthy would probably be specific cities like london, singapore, shanghai, hk, geneva, or paris; other top countries would probably be switzerland, germany, or aus if you're middle class i'm not even sure if us ranks in the top 10. maybe in certain regions?

for a lot of youths around the world the US is still seen as a land of opportunity in which even though one's quality of life is a bit lower than that of many other developed nations, offers people the chance to "better their future" to a much greater degree
