Now we just need him to team up with Merlini and my life will be complete. I think he will now be a regular on BTS, so that might happen. They are both analytic commentators, filling the same slot in a broadcast team, so maybe not.

Yup, completely agree with this statement. I support his decision, good luck Synd!

Whose going to win the qualifier in his place? Whose going to lose in the first round of the losers bracket in his stead? A piece of dota 2 repeating history stops repeating with his retirement.

When he played solo mid, he almost always ends up with the same net worth as a role 4 player by mid game, unless his team is crushing. When he played support on Mouz, he is more often out of position and feeding than not. The only statement that Tobi has ever said, to which I agree with, is that Synderen is "a four letter word that starts with S". He is an excellent caster, but not a good player. These kind of statements always puzzles me. How can you call a player bad, when hes been competing with and against the best of the best for so many years? If he really was shit, why did his teammates want to play with him? Was all his TI apperances, dreamhack victories ect just because of amazing teammates? Just seems like such a weird statement.

I like him but he really wasn't a good player (according to pro standards) man and his skills as a captain were lacking in crucial moments as well.

Well, you can safely say so if you compare him with his peers. Obviously he is better than the average pub, but he is definitely not the standard of top players. As someone has mentioned earlier, Synderen doesn't usually make a good impact when he is a solo mid. You often see him fall behind in net worth. There is the occasional good games, but so far he hasn't really performed well enough. On December 19 2013 22:57 Mataza wrote: But who is going to continue his career at TI4? Well socks and 7ckngmad was with him in TI2, while fata and pas did it in TI3. I suppose you can say Sigma is going to win TI4 Qualifiers :D You heard it here first! One thing that's a pity though is the current Mouz (when Synderen was still playing with them) had a good few games. I recall that they ran support Kunkka for several games, and they were very successful with it. It's a pity that they no longer draft him anymore. Anyway while Synderen has his weakness, he is no doubt a great co-caster. His strategic and analytic insights are great to listen. I look forward to more of his casts!
