Hey everyone. I have decided to step down as a competitive player--I will be focusing on commentating from now on and continue to run my personal stream.
I would like to make it clear that I am still a part of mousesports, albeit not in the role of a professional player from now on.
We'll see what 2014 holds--I'm expecting continued growth with more events and competition, and am hoping to be a big part of these events and making Dota 2 more enjoyable--just in a different role.
Thanks for all your support along the way, and I hope you'll enjoy what I'll be bringing to the table from now on!

Good choice
Synderen is a great caster, hope to see a lot of him.
|
good on him, he is really amazing as a caster, looking forward to this

Always thought this would be a good choice for Synd, and I approve :} He's a great guy and deserves all the success in the world, and I hope his career as whatever he wants to do will be very successful!

Good step after what happened inside the team. Was a good move, couldn't see any results from him in competetive gaming anymore, especially after the failure of moving to mid position.

I miss the days of him playing #1 role.
|
It's sad that he never seemed to get the victories he quite wanted as a player, but I can't say I'm disappointed with the news. There's no better caster out there right now, hope he gets some stable schedules for casting soon!

Castersynderen best synderen!

Someone else has a shot at winning TI qualifiers now

He was still a very strong player, it is very hard to win dreamhacks and TI qualifiers with so many different teams. Best of luck to him, pretty much everyone agrees that he is one of the best casters out there.

I absolutely support that decision

No he wasn't. I have never seen a player so consistently have as little impact as Synderen does in a game. When he played solo mid, he almost always ends up with the same net worth as a role 4 player by mid game, unless his team is crushing. When he played support on Mouz, he is more often out of position and feeding than not.
The only statement that Tobi has ever said, to which I agree with, is that Synderen is "a four letter word that starts with S".
He is an excellent caster, but not a good player.

Tough choice for any pro, but I think it's the right one. His commentary is excellent and the scene could really use some more full-time ex-pro commentators.. Good luck synd!

I simply can't be unhappy that synderen will be casting more now. ^_^
|
Definitly the right call, I like the guy and rooted for his teams often, but he just lacked a lot as a player and captain for too long and didn't have the courage to stick to the style mouz played before TI3, which led them to try to copy others instead and made them fail. Looking forward to seeing him cast again and won't forget his past victories before his breakthrough in dota2 though.

I only wish he was less stubborn and made this choice long ago. Imagine how big him and Tobi would be at this point . You just had to keep winning the Western qualifiers dammit

can't say i'm not surprised. his play has been very VERY mediocre, but casting-wise, really great. hope he becomes a full time casting analyst (don't always agree with his views 100%, but at least it's pretty good most of the time!)

Well as it is true that he is not a top tier player he is an good captain. he knows how to pic lame boring but well working shit together and he is a personality. Never understood why EG did not pick him up. He could be the EG´s Incontrol of Dota2.
Well lets hope he understands that his way of casting is kind of gretorp style. For me pretty boring to listen solo so he needs a Tobi at his side to make a great cast out of it.

Mr. Firstblood moves on :D.
Good, I like his casting .

Not unexpected, but his casting is awesome, so I expect the continuation of good things from him.
