Interesting. What's left for Blizzcon, WoW, Balls and maybe LoTV? Isn't LoTV a bit too early to announce?

Honestly, they had better get it right this time. They have to restructure so much of the game its not even funny. And the storytelling better be top notch, unlike act 3.

They're going to have to change a lot of things, ranging from bland itemization to artificial difficulty. And god, please get rid of those Saturday morning cartoon act bosses.

I found Diablo 3 to have many flaws, but I still enjoyed playing through it and grinding for gear. I really don't understand how anyone would say it wasnt worth purchasing if he/she spent several hours. If you didn't like it, you would have quit it in the first place after the first playthrough. I got D3 as a gift from my friends. We only put in like 40 hrs till we all got to inferno and after that we lost interest and eventually went back to HotS. They were hardcore diablo 2 fans and simply didn't find D3 entertaining enough. So mileage may vary.

Compare that to the hundreds of triple A generic "action adventure" games that have no replay value and only last a few hours AND are sold at full price. Where's the outrage at that? Or is the justification simply "you get what you came for" or "what did you expect", where as in terms of blizzard games it always has to be compared to the golden standard of what ever personal taste the person has.

There's no outrage because reasonable gamers tend not to buy those because they know that said games are mediocre at best. Also hours played is not everything. Just because you spend a certain amount of time on a game doesn't necessarily mean you enjoy it as much as that would suggest. I know this sounds very counter-intuitive but it's true, sometimes people will play a game without enjoying it all too much, or maybe they keep playing in hopes it gets better or something along those lines. A personal anecdote of mine (of which I could supply many more) would be that my 4-5 hour playthrough of VVVVVV was infinitely more enjoyable than, say, the last 200 hours of TF2 I've played. And yes, of course Blizzard will always be held to a higher standard because their games used to set the standard back in the day, hopefully you remember this. And yes, people will rage more and express their frustrations a lot more when it comes to recent Blizzard games, simply because they loved their early games so much. Because deep down inside we really want Blizzard to go back to making amazing and absolutely phenomenal games, not merely "good" games. That's why SC2 and D3 may at times get a lot more flak than someone new to either franchise would ever give them.

Going to the cinema would cost me 15$ where I live and I would be entertained 2 hours at best.. :D

That's why the "hours of entertainment" metric makes no sense when talking about games. It's not about the hours. It's about liking the game.

And yes, there are many people who play games that they don't particularly enjoy, whether it's for the achievements, or for the progression system, or for the ladder rank and so on and so forth.

I might have spent 10 hours playing the game solo, found it pretty boring, and played the rest of my hours (another 30 or so) playing with my nephew despite finding it boring. There's also a lot of people that played with their friends, but didn't really want to play, but since it's the only thing their friends were playing... well, you get the idea. The game itself wasn't awful. It just didn't hold up to D2, really, which is why it gets such a bad rap.

That's development, not destruction. Your nostalgia can't hold an MMO up forever. Whether or not you like the "new warcraft" lore doesn't matter.

The original picture has been taken down, whether that is because Blizzard wanted it or not i don't know but im pretty sure that is the next expansion title, as it follows the lore and WoWikki pages too. Plus it needs to be announced soon xD
