I think all spirit generators are viable, ups and downs. Concussive is great CCwise but poor damage, reach has good armour and range but poor damage, fists is the most balanced of all of them and wohf is the best DPS but poor survival. I'd say at least 50% of the inferno monks in this thread seem to be using deadly reach so it's not exactly rare. Obviously keen eye is just broken and without it nobody would use deadly reach over windforce flurry.

http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/calculator/monk#bRgYkT!gYU!cbYcaa I use atm dualwield. I try to avoid dmg as much as possible. Fast mobs got to be abused with map or some other technic. Teleporting mobs same, depending on mob type.

(weapon has 300 life on hit) 399 resists all. Crippling wave is my damage reduction/mob control/champion pack kiting melee attack Thunder fist is my pigmy chaser/Dps/life healing/ teleporting attack. i find having two primary attacks is better then using monks spirit attacks. they are a waste and i need that spirit to stay alive. The other 4 are self explanitory. you need those defensive skills or you die.....simple (gee blizzard GREAT CUSTOMIZATION!!) i can farm act 1 with zero trouble (even able to kill invincible minions without dying unless unlucky) my gameplay usually involves me attacking like a badass, only dancing around when desecrator or molten is around. i dont enjoy heavy kiting so even if it brings me to the brink of death i will "dance" around the mob every so close on the edge of those anal champ abilities. Butcher is pig easy with this build so i tend to farm him all the time. i have tried act 2 and i got to the first cave i found after the canyon and was traveling through it nicely until i met my firtst champion pack.....i even got lucky with no bullshit afflixes but i just gave up and went back to act 1. only temptation i have is switching crippling wave with deadly reach. however 50% armor is only 10% reduction and i find that the enemy losing 20% attack in the first place as well as slower movement and attack speed is MUCH MUCH better. I started using this build of yours, and I do quite enjoy it. thought i am only in hell mode right now

http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/calculator/monk#WRXYgQ!VTU!abcaYZ With this build anyone can kill any normal monsters in this area, since there are no ranged enemies I just stand still in the middle of my inner sanctuary and still damage them with crippling wave. If I time everything well, normal monsters won't land a single hit on me so I usually go there in full mf gear. I can't kill any of the champions though so I stop my runs after finding the Pinata. I don't find that many items, but their quality was way better than what I found in act I and II.

![]() Also have 17,777 DPS. Act 2 Inferno has a lot of champ packs that i still cant beat without help. Act 3 Inferno rapes me. I can get 5 stacks but I dont have enough resists. Im think closer to 1500 all resists are necessary. Back to exploit farming i guess.

More armor wouldnt really help me. Since I would have to drop resistance for it anyway. Usually I run Mantra of Evasion, which is 20 percent more armor, less resistances, and yeah the dodge. On my tooltips my mitigation through armor is pretty close to my mitigation through resistances. But the point is that even with 1k resistances my shit gets pushed in. What am I doing wrong lol? Rolling a demon hunter now basically. Until Inferno is altered my monk has about run its course.

In hell with 300 resist, i can walk into arcane and plague as if it's my own backyard. Desc and fire chain still hurts like hell.

Can you give a brief summary on how u fare in arcane, descerator, plague, fire chain and butcher fire? lol In hell with 300 resist, i can walk into arcane and plague as if it's my own backyard. Desc and fire chain still hurts like hell. yeah the only way i deal with firechain which is the most annoying is i need to find a good corner or wall so i don't get destroyed but often they have another silly ability to go with it like plauge or vortex and i just cry

That way you can still back up into another doorway when there's plague. Playing monk makes me cry too. Marine stutter micro with a zergling? fml
