I played with a dude with Nats last night, and he obviously had an easier time, but it's doable with 25-30 extra disc and smart prep usage. | ||

I spent about 1-3m on each slot, and I still seem to have trouble farming act 3. it feels like I explode at almost any mistake I make, and even with around the same dps as my barb I farm it much slower. Im wondering, what am I doing wrong, both in terms of gear and playstyle? any help would be great. | ||

In fact, I would probably swap out some AR for DPS (but DPS is fine). - I would swap out Vault for Smokescreen. There are instances where SS is needed instead of Gloom. A few comments: - DHs have higher natural DPS than barbs because of Steady Aim and Archery, so in reality, your barb is probably much better than your DH. - A key technique of DHs is to stutterstep, i.e. move-shoot-move-shoot. You'll need to use the shift key. - I would not advice you to use the Trail of Cinders aggressive vaulting into mobs since you don't have 4p natalya's set and your DPS is not that high. - I would also use Gloom liberally, even against white mobs and definitely against Phase Beasts. You can afford to do this since you have 50 discipline. | ||

I have a bit less stats (http://us.battle.net/d3/en/profile/Entr0pic-1555/hero/20850780) than that and I'm farming Act3 at an okay pace. Like said above, use Gloom basically whenever you start getting hit and pre-emptively when getting caught in melee. In addition to constant kiting, I find Vaulting with Tumble and Tactical Advantage help greatly in getting distance to move away. | ||

I have comparable survivability and only 50k dps, and I beat Diablo and can do Cydea/Azmodan runs reasonably (not without dying, but not inducing ragequit either). Could it be that you kill yourself with evasive fire by pushing yourself into a corner or running out of discipline? Maybe try out hungering arrow then. And since your crit% is quite high, perhaps give the nightstalker passive a try - more discipline means more survivability. | ||

I haven't played D3 since it was unheard of to not go glass canon on DHs, and was just wondering what you guys think my next upgrade should be. I don't really have much money at the moment, but wondering what I should be saving up for. I've just been replacing old gear for cheap gear with vitality on it, and I'm not really having a problem surviving at the moment. I started farming A3 with 60k DPS, 40k HP, and 150-200 AR. Mostly in groups though. | ||

You can easily replace both of those for less than 100k each. Your helm is also kind of weak... it used to be better, but IAS kind of sucks now. You can get more crit, more dex, and some vit on your helm (or at least a socket) for a fairly reasonable price. | ||

Pretty sure that Weapon Mastery + Ruthless give more damage than Steady Aim and Archery, as long as you're using a Sword or Axe, and you have at least 200% Crit damage. | ||

I was browsing a bit for rings and amulets, but couldn't really find anything with dex/crit chance/crit damage for under 1mil, am I looking for the wrong stats? | ||
