Witching hour Mempo of twilight - doesn't have many with high dex rolls now for some reason. Deadman's legacy Manticore- crit and 2 sockets 1.0.4 natalya set Lacuni prowlers or strongarm (240+ dex and vit roll) Inna's pants (might want it with the chest) Skull grasp
For consideration: Stone of jordan - bit subjective for this one. But it's good if u're already overloaded with crit chance. Andariel's visage - currently has ones with better stats than mempo. Windforce - if you like knockbacks, but u'll take a huge hit in terms of damage output.

i think the legendary prices are pretty inflated. you are better off getting a good amulet or glove with very very top end rolls.

2hxbow manticore 2hbow windforce 1h dual wield danette something deadman legacy quiver witching hour belt Wanderlust ring [ I have seen this before, 250 dex / crit chance / crit dmg / 4% elite ] Natalya chest boot helm + 1 ring ouroboros amluet
that should make u extremely imba legendary gear char lol

that crit bonus with archery is just silly. thanks for the advice. It's not really because of the crit bonus - it's more that crossbows have higher natural DPS than bows. So, a 1300 DPS crossbow is much more common (and hence cheaper) than a 1300 bow. The reason being is that crossbows have a lower damage range and hence higher inherent DPS.
I think it'll be interesting if a 1300 DPS crossbow gets compared against a 1300 DPS bow. This is because the crossbow is slower and hence will do more damage per attack. However, the bow will attack faster and hence give more mobility. I think such a playstyle choice will be interesting. Right now, it's no contest really - crossbows are just better.

For example, lets compare 2 hypothetical "typical" weapons that have roughly an equal cost: - Crossbow: speed = 1.1, damage = 900 - 1400, DPS = 1265 - Bow: speed = 1.4, damage = 400 - 1300, DPS = 1165
Obviously, I'm using arbitrary numbers, but for an equal cost weapon, crossbows will have a higher DPS. This is because bows have a high damage spread (e.g. see 400 - 1300 vs 900 - 1400). Because their DPS is lower, it just makes them worser weapons.
My point is that for the discussion of crossbows vs bows to be interesting, the bow DPS will need to be equal to the crossbow. Right now, it's a no contest.

Anywhere that can roll crit chance should have it.
I would start with boots and bracer. Should probably consider getting 12ms boots unless u're going inna's pants or lacuni prowlers.

thanks azzur, happy birthday! that makes sense now.

So elites that reflect damage...what to do? I lineup spike trap + cluster arrow and that blows me up. How can I tell that they have reflect damage when they're barrelling towards me?

Activate gloom - keep shooting

How much dps do you guys reckon is needed to farm act 2 efficiently? I have 50k - 53k w/o SS, 615 - 655 AR, 50k - 52k hp.
|
wtf. 600 AR and 50k HP? On your barbarian? If you can farm act2 with that much survivability then we need to talk about your playstyle, your deeps are fine.

Personally I'd sacrifice some ar and hp for more dps, but with those kind of defensive stats even with your lower end dps (50k is still very nice w/o ss though) you should be able to use gloom and face tank everything.
Edit - You need around 100k dps w/o ss to mostly one shot normal mobs in act 3 so in act 2 somewhere around 70k should be enough to roll through it.

Does Themango still play anymore? He used to post pretty good advice all the time here.

I think he quit the game and sold all of his gear. Have him on my friends list but haven't seen him on ever since the patch released.
