Blizz store is 60€. No thanks.
Online stores are roughly at 50€. I expect them (along with big local stores) to lower the price in the first 1-2 weeks to 30-35ish € - just as it happened with SC2.
A good indication this will happen might be, that the game was sold for ~21 pounds at some point on amazon.co.uk with the price guarantee from amazon... too bad I couldn't pre-order it back then (as the world might know, in Germany basically no one uses/has a credit card which is required to order from the UK).

Really? Germans don't use credit cards?

It's not that weird really, in holland a lot of people don't have credit cards either. The sole reason people have them is to order stuff from abroad, they don't use them for anything other then that ...

SC2 Release:
Battle.Net = 60€
Amazon = 38€
GameStop/MediaMarkt etc = 38€

Will be the same with D3. Just wait for the release and Amazon etc will lower the price, because they always want to sell for the lowest price.

@Credit-Card
PayPal > CreditCards. CreditCards are just the most retarded paying-method ever, I don't get why people use it.

I actually very interested in the topic, so please don't lose track on this thread, but I just have to...

no credit cards?! wtf?
So you guys go to the bank once a month and carry huge amounts off cash around to pay stuff? How do you pay larger amounts, like when you buy a computer, or a phone, expensive clothes etc? Or how does it work? I'm very curious.

We have EC-Cards. No idea how they are called in English. But you can pay with them in every store. You put your EC-Card in the stores cardreader, put in your PIN and the money gets transfered.
But the difference is, you don't get a bill at the end of the month, so you can't take on debt with it. You need to have money on your Bank-account to pay with the EC-Cards.
Thats why germans don't have like 20.000$ debt per person. We don't buy things on credit!

Ah like a debit card (only pay with money you HAVE). Makes sense.

Pretty much everyone in western Europe uses debit cards rather than credit cards. They come with your bank account, so that's easy. Obviously they avoid the debt-issue of credit cards, although some bank accounts allow you to go into the negative to a certain limit, at a relatively high interest rate.

Plenty of people to have a credit card, but they only use it for purchases from foreign websites. Often the limit on the CC is quite low as well.

Yep, in Poland the concept of credit cards is pretty much laughable, seing as virtually everyone have a debit card and make all transactions with it. Wheter it's paying for your bread of your 50 inch tv.

ah, ok. I'm a bit less scandalised then.

but my visa card is the same, that I can only pay if I got money on the account, but I can use it to pay for things online internationally. maybe the germans just have some special funny standard that isn't really supported outside germany?
edit: rereading some previous posts, is it only UK that require debit cards? I'm not sure I've used my visa to buy stuff from UK, although I think I did at some point. While less scandalised, I'm still confused.

Debit and credit cards, pretty much the same general concept in all countries. Though using your credit card for some small purchases doesn't hurt as it helps to boost that credit report, of course only if you can pay it back

Some Germans have credit cards but as a general rule I would say most don't. In restaurants for example you almost always pay cash, the majority of places don't even have facilities for an EC card(eftpos/standard bank card). I'm not really sure why they don't use credit cards, maybe because you HAVE to pay them off every month so there's no real point..or it could just be because (gross generalisation coming) most Germans are kinda stingy??

Amazon.co.uk has it for 28 GBP. Other game retailers have it in the price range of 30-34 GBP, which I think is a very good deal.

Dont think like a dickhead or a kid from elementary school. Its easy logic behind it. If you open a restaurant and have some brain u will understand why if you are a clever person. When u pay cash u automatically generate a generous tip when people pay.

If you pay with EC-Cards or stuff like this most people pay the exact price, not more. Thats the restaurant part... the other side, i guess germans are a little smarter than americans and dont buy stuff they normally dont have money for. Thats the reason u guys had that financial crysis a while ago.

If you only want a key and don't care for the box you should checkout www.cdkeyprices.com and use www.trustpilot.com to check the reputation of a given company.
