Pro gamers just use practice partners and make custom games, the maps are published in Korea atleast, so its np for them.

Aiur Garden seems like an AWESOME map, the other ones are at least 1.5 times better than the ones that got removed.

This is amazing news, if it goes through the general standard of games should shoot right up. Even if it doesn't quite work out as we all hope, I'm very happy to see GOM taking the feedback about maps on board and changing things up =)

This is fantastic news. As people are saying - even if these maps turn out to be imbalanced, at least the GSL is moving in the right direction with the introduction of custom maps.

That said, I do like the look of the new maps, particularly Aiur Garden. But I'm not a good player, so I can't really see imbalances as well as some of you guys.

Wow, and these maps actually looks amazing compared to the removed maps. I've been waiting for this forever... I hope it becomes easy enough to play these maps in pubs eventually.

Wow, best news of today, the maps look awsome - just from a quick glance at the three new ones (I guess everyone knows crossfire?):

- very easy to take naturals should eliminate stupid one base timing attacks be overly easy to execute
- "kinda" easy to take third expansion should guarantee games going into macro-mode unless a player goes for a semi-all-in off two base
- no backdoor rocks (hell YES)
- all maps are symmetric: this is EXTREMELY important, a good, balanced map shouldn't have stupid shit like 3 different ways to play: perfect negative example would be metalopolis: close ground, close air and cross position are all different

Hopefully Blizz introduces the possibility to select these maps in Diamond league as well - shouldn't be too difficult technically to have different maps possible in different leagues, at least as long as the majority overlaps so "cross-league" play would still be very possible?

What? Depending on the spawning locations, there's always a third that's extremely easy to take and defend. On Aiur Garden and Amaroso the third is actually "free" on Biohazard you can expand away from your opponent so the entrance to your third would be on the opposite of your opponent's attack path
