Amoroso's the only one that actually looks nice and yet it seems quite zerg favoured. The gold expo's in the middle also seem completely pointless.

The other three are incredibly mediocre.

Wow, that top map "Aiur Garden" looks disgusting.... Over 9000 chokepoints that can fit 2 units through at most. Welcome to more Tank/Viking TvT, hurrah for no progress!!!!

That being said, I do like that GSL is even thinking about changing up the maps, which shows that they are listening to player/pro feedback.

Edit: I just realized, the bottom one "Crossfire" is a remake of Peaks of Beakdu. That was one of my favourite BW maps. FTW!!!!

Will somebody make some maps that aren'ts jungle or twilight? The badlands and redrock tilesets are amazing but no maps. =(

Iam really happy about these news, not because i know anything about those maps or anything for that matter. The fact that they are actually doing somethign is great and should be welcomed. I just hope people will give GOM the chance to continue and develop and not start immediately ranting just because some of the maps might not turn out that good or some one cheeses their favourite pro on it. The actual maps they are going to implement now do not matter as much as the matter that they change the mappool on their own. This could be something the whole sc2 community benefits from and not just the players of GSL.

Just goes to show that Blizzard isn't the obstacle in esports' path; they won't help us (which is definitely stupid), but they won't obstruct it either. I don't know why so many people were predicting that they wouldn't allow custom maps in GSL.

First you complain about chokes and then you say you like Crossfire? With mass tanks and anti-air on the Watchtower defending 4 bases will be super easy I guess

Well anyway, do I understand right that these maps are nowhere near final but just examples of maps they look at?!

edit: By the way, with the new maps next season I might actually be interested in GSL again lol

Thank god for the new maps, they should help out the Gls popularity alot. One question though, how do pro gamers practise on these maps if they arn't in the blizzard ladder system?
