My friend and I are visiting Seoul with the intent to watch ALS live, and luckily, the dates lined up well—so we’ll be there for the second week of Round 24.
We’ve read about the difficulties other foreigners have had getting tickets, so we decided to test the waters and tried buying tickets for the first week (which opened on the 20th), but we were unsuccessful.
Ticketlink Global only accepts payment through PAYCO, which appears to require a Korean phone number and Korean ID. When we tried paying with a credit card, we got the message: “The terminal is not eligible for service.”
Have any foreigners managed to get around this PAYCO issue? Or is there someone in Seoul who would be willing to help us out—in exchange for some good Czech beer?

I'm in the same situation. Did you manage to solve it?

I'm interested in this too. Anybody has a solution?

I might be able to go to the finals, so I did a dummy booking now for Ro8 (Queen vs. Best) to see for myself. I had no trouble booking the tickets through Ticketlink Global and paying with Payco. I used a foreign credit card and phone number for the payment. I was able to cancel the tickets afterwards as well.

That's a very helpful answer, thank you! I'm not planning to go anytime soon but I would like to someday. When I saw this thread I was wondering and also a little confused it got no replies.

Hey everyone!
I’ll be flying in from Chile and I dont want to miss the ASL 19 finals on 25 May. I’ve checked both the KR and Global versions of Ticketlink every day this week, but the event page still isn’t there.
From what I gather in this thread, earlier rounds opened Thu 17:00 KST. Does that same schedule apply to the finals, or have they ever shifted it?
Thanks a ton!

Hey all,
Quick follow‑up to my earlier question about finals tickets – I finally found the official poster and it changes everything, so I wanted to share the details:
TL;DR No Ticketlink sale this time – the finals are part of the PlayX4 gaming expo.
Date/Time: Sun 25 May 14:00 KST
Venue: KINTEX Exhibition Center 1 (Hall 1) in Ilsan/Goyang.
How to get in:
FREE if you pre‑register on the PlayX4 site before Tue 20 May.
After that, on‑site tickets cost 10 000 ₩ (and there may be a long line / capacity cap).

Darn. I was planning a long weekend trip to Seoul (from Asia) and picked dates for the finals.
I thought it would be in Seoul like Gangnam, Sangam, Jamsil, or something. But KINTEX is like 1 hour+ away from our hotel, and we're not super interested in the rest of the gaming expo. The match is in the middle of the afternoon, so it feels like an all-day commitment. Since there's not much time after waking up and by the time we're back in Seoul, tourist attractions will have just closed at 6PM.
It's too difficult to commit half of our weekend trip when we have so many other things we want to see in Seoul.

thought it was a contest or smth t.t

I believe this is the sign up page: https://www.playx4.or.kr/eng/b2c/member/join_type.php
It looks like this is part of some bigger gaming convention? This will be my first in person event in Korea so if anyone has any details on what to expect or tips, I'd love to hear more!

I used to work in the gaming industry here in Korea, and went to PlayX4 a few times for work. It's one of the smaller gaming conventions in Korea, the larger being G-Star in Busan, usually in the fall. It is broken up into a B2B networking event, and a separate B2C event showcasing new games / gaming stuff. Going to be a bunch of booths of people showcasing their company and their services / games. I imagine a strong focus on mobile gaming.
There will be a quite a few people, food options are ok.
