Howdy ho,
I've been feeling the itch to get back into SC again but I'm noticing every ranked game lags and the Koreans instantly leave.
I've heard of using VPNs like Mudfish, port forwarding etc. but I'm curious if it's all a fool's errand?
I've got 5G broadband where I usually get FTTB. Would switching to FTTB reduce latency enough to avoid this issue?
Just curious what people's experiences are. Would love to play but nobody wants to deal with the ping :'(
Also curious if there are more favourable times to play where I won't get matched exclusively with Koreans.

Try Shieldbattery, it has very few random matches, but it handles latency much better

a VPN won't help.
+1 for shieldbattery which is great.
getting off WiFi will help for any sort of gaming. use a cat5e or cat6 ethernet cable if you can.

using cable or fiber internet instead of 5g broadband will help.

Thanks for the suggestions guys! Will switch to FTTB as a start I think.
Keen to give SB a try, though it looks like the site is down right now :'(

I log in from time to time on SB and I always see 2 lobbies this year.
This is 200% increase from before!

Is there another place to download it from? This site doesn't load for me.

Do you have some weird network setup/antivirus/DNS or something? The site has been running this whole time and working fine, I can ping it from various places in Australia as well so I'm not sure what is going on for you
