Does anyone else find it strange looking at the numbers that zerg is winning ~50%, if not more in most scenarios and yet they are the one getting the upgrade? High level play is basically even between the 3 races and yet they are changing things to cater to the players who can't stop a friggen 4 gate?

I think they should be balancing towards those who actually know how to play the game so that those who don't actually have to learn.

I play zerg, which this makes me happy. But concerning that terran actually, becomes really weak early game because of this, dont know how early an attack can come from toss vs terran really. Though nice for zerg

Increased roach range and fungal growth change is awesome as a zerg player.

I don't understand the supply depot/rax change. Proxy raxs weren't overpowered, but it was a good cheese terran players could use in certain situations. The reaper change is just going to make them more useless. They need to do something else to them to make people want to build them after the first 5 minutes of the game.

I'm not sure if the increased hp on zerg buildings is necessary, but I'll take it.

Keep in mind that they prefaced these changes with "Here are a few of the changes we currently have planned", so who knows what else they have planned. These are some huge changes though.

This patch makes me want to quit StarCraft II. These changes aren't bad. They're ridiclous.

I can't believe these arbitrary things are being introduced because of numbers. Cannot believe it.

All changes except the barracks one seem fine.

Just remove the Reaper already. It's a gimmicky crap unit.

I'm toss but I think the Fungal buff is justified. When you get something like 25+ stalkers it's very very easy to run circles around zerg units/bases and just blink away whenever there is trouble. Hopefully they can get in a Fungal/ling surround now because it just wasn't happening before.

Welcome nerfs to reapers though. Even as toss early reaper pushes were annoying as fuck if the T had ANY micro.

Personally I think you should need an engineering bay or factory or something to build a bunker to stop the stupid proxy 2 rax bunker plays that so many people are doing to get their wins for pictures.

So hard to stop it even when you scout it...

Woah this is crazy! Gunna be an awesome patch for Zergs everywhere Range 4 roaches are going to be SO COOL! ^^ Not sure what I think about the depot before rax prerequisite although but I guess I'll wait to see it in action before I comment on it I do wonder if there will be different depot timings now for faster rax/OC. It definitely lowers the Terrans options a bit more which is not a bad thing imo. I did think that last patches reaper nerf could have been handled a different way, more like this patches, but with this patch I would really prefer if Blizzard reduced reapers build time back to 40. Seems like overkill :\

Terran buildings should also have to be in range of a supply depot otherwise they lose power

Their statistics don't match up with their nerfs/buffs at all. Both last patch and this patch.

Also... if these are true might as well just remove reapers.

The fungal change is great.

The roach change will make the unit much better, but I have to wonder if it was necessary.

The depot requirement suuuucks for T. Encouraging macro play, though, makes me a little bit optimistic.

The nitro packs change: Who cares.

They nerfed aggressive, cheesy proxy openings and early reaper play. I don't think this will make a single significant difference to platinum and below terran play, since for the most part they don't have the speed to execute these openings properly anyway.

Very much happy about the roach range, as long as it's 5+ and not a increase from 3->4 I will be happy. I don't agree though with the double nerf of barracks/reaper. I think such a radical change to reapers is why I'm a little shocked, compared to blizzard in 1.1 wanting to just adjust build times by 5 seconds, a complete 180 of what they said they were trying to do.

The balance changes in our next patch will primarily focus on improving the zerg. Here are a few of the changes we currently have planned:
-Blizz
Hopefully this time there will be more than what is listed here, and I am glad they recognize to focus on buffing zerg as opposed to nerfing the other two races.
