CR7 don't really need to be loyal to MU. He was good before joining MU, although MU made him great it wasn't really through the youth system and it was strictly business. There are anyone young who actually comes from the MU youth system in the current team, and not like they had a lot in their prime either. I would say that Liverpool currently have the most, 2 to be exact, that plays regularly and was developed by the club.
Kaka deal is off the world. Reports says £102 for Milan and something like £30 for the agent and father, and the well known wage bill. I hope that he will stay at Milan and shows that money isn't everything.
I think it will be hard to find a player who would play for the club and not getting paid. Or stay at the same club if they are relegated when they obviously can play at a much higher level. I miss Stuart Pearce, where football is about winning/passion and that is all it mattered.
Isn't there a trade-off between a football culture of loyalty and passion for a club and the 'champions league' culture of super teams with lots of stars and lots of money? If all players were to be extremely loyal to the club they were brought up in, teams would probably be more balanced but the top tier teams would be weaker. The Real Madrids and Man Utds would be weaker teams because they wouldn't be able to harness the biggest talents from all over the world.
What I'm saying is that even though there may not be as much loyalty in football today, top-level football is of better quality than it would otherwise be.
Milan is a miracle since like a decade. In the last 10 years their roster was always filled with players that were way beyond 30 only and every new player they bought was 28 minimum. I'm sure they could need a few bucks to change that now. Also Kaka has been playing a lot worse than he used to anyway.
Kaka is struggling with injuries for over a year now. It sucks and I hate that this is happening. He needs to take a decent break for football or his career will be ruined imo.
He is indeed not playing as well has he played, but is still a sick player.
rumors in Italy said that Kaka was disappointed by Milan, because he's no more considered "unsellable" but they are actually pondering the offer..... I hope he stays, he's a great person even before than a great footballer

can you blame them? you can build a whole squad with 100million
I wouldn't mind seeing Kaka in the Premiership, would be awesome to see him play the english clubs on a regular basis although I'd rather he'd stay. I still think loyalty is quite important today, for example look at Buffon and Del Piero when Juventus was relegated for the scandal and they stuck with the team and one year later got back to Serie A and another season after that qualified for CL
i dont think players have an obligation to be loyal I do however think that players who get a lot of playtime for clubs that are the best / near the best in the world are stupid if they want to leave (barring extreme discomfort outside the field) sacrificing legend status in a club and unanimous supporter respect just to get a little more money when you're already filthy rich meh
I guess if its "for the challenge" or cuz you've always had a dream about playing for one particular club then oh well I can't really argue with that tho
Funfacts: After 19 games, the first half of La Liga ends and so far with 50 from 57 possible points Barca have the most points ever for a team at this stage. Eto, 18 goals in 18 games played. Messi 12 and Henry 11 in 16. Those three and Atletico have the same amount of goals, 41. Every other team in La Liga has scored less than our 3 main strikers. The whole team have scored a whopping 59 goals, at an incredible average of 3.1 per game. Also record breaking numbers. For comparesion, Valencia won La Liga 2000-2001 with 51 goals. Valdés has only conceded 13 goals. Alves/Messi best right flank of the world, fucking unbalanced.
not good enough to RAPE man u though, but the match up would certainly produce better games than last year and maybe Barca will actually score this time lolololol

Yeah well that's the problem with the CL; it's not a league, it's a cup. There's no reason to be attacking because all you have to do is not lose. That's why you get loads of lame defensive teams winning and Man.U this season are a very strong team defensively. I hope Barca wins because they're the most exciting to watch at the moment.
Looking at the amount of goals they've already scored makes me shaking my head in disbelief.
I m pretty sure Barca will win the title this year. Everything else would be a huge surprise. But in the Championsleague they are just one of several serious contenders for the title.
