Got into a Swedish only guild that are desperately trying to get CE before the new raid. Thrown into 6/8 M progress and had to re-roll FDK. Got Mythic Mythrax down yesterday (I know it's not really that impressive considering all the nerfs). Downed Mytrhax with a wooping 19% parse as FDK. Also did a FUCKTON of mistakes throughout the majority of pulls (dying to blast when dropping imminent ruin like three times because I kept forgetting to turn my camera, dropped imminent ruin in the middle of the raid during spread phase because I was tunnel visioning the spread, also kept fucking up my CD-timings, to mention a few). Needless to say I don't have very high hopes of making the trial period to say the least. At least it has been fun to try some Mythic raiding past Zek Voz. Also going from almost exlusively tanking Mythic content and messing around on my Fury warrior on HC and 2/8 M into a 6/8 M Guild as Melee dps was... harder than I thought ![]()

A lot of the fights are very fun for me, even though some fights aren't really super enjoyable (maybe they have changed slightly). High Tinker fight is going to probably break a lot of people with one of its mechanics (its a brand new mechanic I believe and if add-ons cannot assist it will be really frustrating). 4 or 5 fights I thoroughly enjoy, 3-4 are above average, and I would really only rate 1-2 average (namely the champion of the light fight and high tinker, but this could change if blizz fixes some of the issues in high tinker fight!). First boss is still a first boss so its probably in the range of tougher than mother mythic, but easier than zekvoz/vectis/fetid. Sounds good. I'm pretty hyped to play since I've never actually raided at the start of a tier before ![]() Also my Wednesday nights have opened up recently so I have like 50 more guilds I can apply to for next tier (current guild is most likely not going to be alive for next tier lol).

There have been over 10,000 guilds that have killed Mythic Mother (not including any of the numerous pub groups out there that have killed it). I think its a pretty reasonable starting spot for the 2nd raid. The first boss is pretty easy and will not take long for mythic groups to kill.

Since the launch of Battle for Azeroth, we’ve noticed an increasing trend of players turning off XP gains at level 110 in order to repeatedly powerlevel other players’ characters at an excessive rate without increasing their own level. The intention of the XP-off feature is to allow alternate characters to stay in lower-level PvP brackets or relive lower-level content, not to purposefully halt progression in content relevant to the current expansion. To curb this behavior, we plan to implement a hotfix in the coming days that will disable the ability to turn off XP gains on characters level 110 or higher. Additionally, any character of that level who already has XP disabled will find it automatically re-enabled the next time they log in. Update We’ve been thinking about this plan more today and agree that there are probably better ways to approach this issue. We’re going to hold off on this for the time being while we discuss. Bit of a clusterfuck lol Unleveled chars with legiondaries and tier sets can be significantly more powerful (and fun) relative to the content than actual 120 characters. It's just a symptom of the disease, and yeah, addressing it is difficult. An update on the exploit bans/rollbacks: Just to follow up - we needed to get some extra data together to do it properly, but yes, we’ll be removing the items gained and issuing suspensions for those who abused this bug (with an increasing penalty based on how excessive the abuse was). The reason it’s taken an extra few days is that we needed to make sure we were also cleaning up any extra Titan Residuum gained from this. Presumably people will lose the AP at the same time

But Blizzard then added PvP into the mix which turns it into a problem because now its being used to grief. The solution is simple. Get rid of Warmode. It was a failure anyway. World PvP has been dead since the first battleground was introduced back in Vanilla.

I remember seeing TONS of people that were like 2/8M while only being 7/8 or lower in Heroic. Lets not even talk about how much of a joke M Taloc is lol ![]()

World PvP has been dead since the first battleground was introduced back in Vanilla. I think warmode would be pretty great if: A: Factions were reasonably balanced, which they haven't been yet. Week 1 warmode wasn't so bad but snowballed out of control due to design problems and hasn't yet recovered B: Servers didn't die whenever you got more than a handful of people in one place. The legion world server lag got way worse in BFA and i'm hearing extremely widespread complaints even from the common folk that usually play with 100ms lag without caring because it's way worse than that now, getting into the thousands of milliseconds or longer often. Pvp out in the world that was commonplace in TBC, WOTLK.. even 40 man battlegrounds are often subject to extreme lag and outright server crashes which makes the game either practically or literally unplayable. It's not clear why the capability of the tech has actually regressed despite a decade of hardware and software improvement. We're talking literally athlon 64 dual cores at 2.2ghz running the game servers back then which are relics vs 2018 tech. DDR1, Hard drives. Memory/caches/storage are all way faster and larger + internet performance is way higher too. Per-core CPU performance is many times higher and you get about 10 times (up to 16x at the moment and soon 32x at the high end) more CPU cores per socket. The same cost of hardware should be capable of running the game so much better than those servers did back in the day. Anecdotally people even report that third party hardware using emulated servers (such as Nostalrius) were capable of supporting many times more concurrent players in a zone than Blizzard's own setup can currently manage. My spec also had garbage warmode traits (not for a lack of things to add/fix!) while others had gamechanging traits so that could do to be a bit more even between classes if they're going to be a thing

World PvP has been dead since the first battleground was introduced back in Vanilla. i dont know its been pretty fun for me, the assaults with warmode on have been even more enjoyable. ive noticed changes in the improvements they made aswell. The balance has been better, people do it. Heck I can walk into an assault right now and clip it for you, even as a solo player its kinda fun. I dont see why getting rid of warmode is a solution. Its optional. Honestly the more I think about what you said its not really even a solution, its just seems like a very forced attempt to shit on warmode. For reasons I dont quite understand. Given again ,,,, that its optional. play on a pretty dead server so I have limited exposure to lag,and whatever people complain about so maybe my perpective is skewed .But Ive played on Mal'ganis aswell and dont really feel any performance issues and I dont have cutting edge hardware either. The bugs are real though. If I played more seriously I would probably be really mad. The only time I had a serious problem was that Ping to Australia shit. But turns out all I had to do was turn a proxy on login and off to reset it, which while annoying at the time. I have moved on from quite quickly.

Lag sensitive abilities like fel rush and glide can break altogether, like with glide for example you can only open your wings during part of the jump but the server won't register that you pressed glide until after you've already hit the ground so you miss whatever platform you were jumping for and it just kinda throws you forwards a few yards after you've been running on the ground for a while already. Fel rush can blow a charge without moving or throw you 3x further than it's supposed to, etc. Both abilities go by the direction that you're facing OR MOVING when the server registers the command, not the direction you were facing/moving when you pressed it - that can lead to some pretty hilarious and painful situations where you throw yourself off of a cliff to your right with a glide that you pressed during a forwards jump 3 seconds ago or you blow your last fel rush charge in the completely wrong direction and get stuck away from melee range. Combat is reduced sometimes to half or one third of the normal APM because the server takes 2-3 globals worth of time to register that you pressed the next global ![]() Sometimes it's way worse than others, it's just been more frequent and worse recently. Invasion zones, world boss zones, city zones etc are particularly prone to melting. When they originally added Legion invasions in 7.2 we had the worst server lag since vanilla with the world + raid servers (but not dungeons) breaking and crashing many times per week for literally 3 months, that seemed more specific to Silvermoon though. This time 'round there are reports all over the WoW forums, reddit, mmo champion etc about people from many servers and all regions experiencing this type of server side lag.

Currently its doing both a multiplicative and additive amount for the affix (so base key level x1.4 + .4 for hp and base key level x1.15 + .15 for damage). I don't think that is how its supposed to work? So doing a 16 key bosses should have 271% hp (194x1.4) and 223% damage (194x1.15), but instead have 311% hp and 238% damage. No idea if thats how its supposed to be, but thats pretty annoying to deal with.

tl;dr Guy gets 390 socketed speed weapon in his weekly cache. Game breaks and deletes the item. He puts in GM ticket, GM says that they can't restore it and gives him an item level 300 ring as compensation. Second GM says again that they can't restore the item and upgrades the ring to 385. This is modern WoW customer support, they don't have permission to fix the gamebreaking bugs which have become a lot more common. Having bugs that GM's can't fix deleting your weekly progression (in the cache, stealing your lockouts etc) is something that i never heard about happening until mid legion in my 13 years of playing the game and it's absolutely unacceptable IMO.

Yeah the ring shouldn't have been 300 ilvl, that's on the GM. But the rest is just simple bad luck and nothing new to BFA. Same shit could happen back in vanilla.

There's also no reason for players to be eligible to get saved to a boss but ineligible to get loot, the conditions for both should be the same. It's nothing short of insane that you can kill a raid boss, record yourself killing it, log yourself killing it, have 19 people there to vouch for you being in the raid and have a GM say sorry there's no proof of you killing the boss on our end so try again next week for loot/achievements. The internet issues which cause or exacerbate both of these bugs are also usually server side. WoW is one of the most expensive games on the market because its players pay for quality content and support, they deserve better. --- They fixed this one a while after it took #1 post on reddit! "Blizzard Customer Support Dromogaz Hey there, /u/Crusha015 . I looked into this issue, and from my investigation, it does appear that in this instance your weekly chest item was not restored correctly. In working with a fellow Game Master we're confident we can restore the original item you received, so please submit another ticket so that we can take a look. Apologies for the confusion, and we look forward to hearing from you again!"

On December 20 2018 14:39 Cyro wrote: That sounds like a bug Turns out that the way they do their math is not what I expected, hence the difference. The way I thought it worked was Keystone modifier x tyrannical was added to the key, but in reality the math they use it the base M0 100% + the keystone modifier, then after those are added together multiply it by tyrannical. So my original thought of a 15 key being 172% modifier x 1.4 for a + 241% hp to bosses, is actually being done by blizzards math as 100% (base keystone) + 172% modifier for a 272% hp x 1.4 for tyrannical, ending up with 381% compared to 100% base level, or a 281% increase on the tooltip instead of 241% that I was getting. I spent like 15 minutes talking to someone about it and they mentioned it got changed in legion because blizz wanted keys to scale faster so we wouldnt hit super super high keys as quickly. The more you know, also just means my group is playing badly since we are getting really tight on timers that 2 weeks ago we easily took care of.

AFAIK it's always been that way, the scaling changes were making each level of a key add more % etc. Tyrannical and Fortified have actually been nerfed.
