AFAIK it's always been that way, the scaling changes were making each level of a key add more % etc. Tyrannical and Fortified have actually been nerfed.
Actually the way I thought of it would make lower keys less impactful for the affix. A 3 is an 8% modifier. If its a 40% increase on that the tyrannical bosses are 11.2% more hp than a 2, whereas doing it as 108% x1.4 is 151% life.
But thinking at a really low level, if they did it the way I was thinking about it the a 2 would have no bonus hp since the modifier is 0, so if I actually took more time I would have realized this way of doing the math would fail to work here.

Not sure if WoW is one of the most expensive games out there (or entertainment for that matter). Over the years if I factor in 13 euros a month or so at an average of even 1h a day this would mean 30h for 13 euros. If I am serious I will easily play 2h a day on average, esp when raiding or on weekend days. Its like 30 cents an hour, possibly the cheapest entertainment I have ever had apart from Dota. For that price the quality is quite good imo.

I think people mean like in Nominal terms, its probablyy higher. As far as value for money, i would agree with you.

Approx ~£140/year if you ignore all microtransactions.
It's a ton of money and it's enough to pay for effective CS and game development+testing. You might think it's good value if you play for many hours within that cost but the actual expense is still one of the highest in the industry.
I can't think of another game that got away with triple dipping on monetization like WoW with buy-to-play, subscription and microtransactions for things that range from cosmetics (which were often taken out of the game to add a £ tag) to arguably essential game functions - the ones that try anything close usually die very quickly. Swapping server+faction on WoW with 3 characters is £108 while competitors do it basically for free or as part of your subscription cost; they'd lose a ton of players and maybe even die if they didn't take care of them.

Question: is there anything weird or insane about lower level Disc. Priests?
I was levelling my Warlock and this Disc. Priest just kind of comes out of nowhere and kills me, Im levelling in War Mode so I think, yeah sure, no big deal. But hes level 39, whereas my Warlock is level 51, so it feels a little weird. When I rez I whip out the 'ol Felpupper just in case, and lo and behold hes duking it out with a level 35 Warrior, so I decide to go in too. He was successfully 1v2ing my Warlock and the Warrior, and with the help of a level 58 Mage we were able to just BARELY down him as I nearly die and the Warrior dies.
Is this normal? I mean god damn that was one of the most absurd PvP experiences I've dealt with.
And since he kept fuckin' with people I plant my 110 Rogue in the area to basically stalk him and kill him for fucking with the other Horde people levelling.
I decided to try killing him exclusively with Auto Attacks and seriously he managed to take 20% of the health off my Rogue, my level ONE HUNDRED AND TEN ROGUE, before I killed him.
That seems crazy right? Or maybe level just doesnt mean anything in World PVP any more?

I know there is scaling in world PvP at 120, I assume it also exists on lower levels.

So my guild is still on Ghuun progression and they are refusing to put better players in because they want their original core to get the first kill. Anyway, one of the DKs didn't show up tonight so they put me in. I've been saving my lockout this week just in case someone got sick or was busy, and I was planning on pugging tonight or tomorrow if they didn't need me. We do one pull and the DK decides to randomly show up, so now I'm sitting again with no chance to go pug other bosses until next week
Honestly at first I didn't mind being sat for the first kill considering that I just finished my trial period before we killed Mythrax, although since we've been on Ghuun for like a month now it's frustrating that they don't want to mix things up a bit. There's about 5+ people in on Ghuun that literally don't log on to do anything other than raid each week (some are still < 30 on heart levels).

<30 on heart takes a pretty extreme lack of effort lol
at least they'll get kicked in the butt in 2 weeks time when they realize they can't equip traits (although less important ones) and artifact knowledge was disabled ages ago so grinding in November had basically the same value as grinding jan/feb.
I don't like the lockout system on mythic, i think it could work pretty fine while being closer to the normal/heroic one.

Ok so upon further inspection we have 7 people on Ghuun prog that are below 30 right now, and 3 of those are 28 (updated profiles to make sure). Also one of our healers still only has 8 stacks of Reorg Array.....
My heart is only 36, although I started the patch a couple of weeks late and at some point I stopped playing my Rogue for 2-3 weeks to grind my Lock back when I was going to raid with my casual Alliance friends. I'm making a big push right now to get 40+ for the start of the next tier.
Regarding the Mythic lockout, I can kind of understand it at the start of the tier although I feel like once the raid goes cross realm they should just change it to the Normal/Heroic lockout style or some variation on it.

With the current state of the game i don't see a good reason to divide up into realms at all for functions like mythic raids and trading gold/items. I like realm communities and all but that's just not what we've got with the sharding system - it feels like the worst of both worlds.
I'd prefer large, strong servers as it makes the game more of an MMO than an online action/adventure game but if we're taking on all of the downsides of sharding across a region then let us group and play freely without barriers.
Dinging 39 to 40 is about 18 times harder than dinging 28 to 29 - your heart leveling is already ~5-9x slower per level than theirs.

Yea I believe I needed somewhere around 50-55k AP to go from 36-37. I'm about half way there atm.
Speaking of realms, Illidan has the worst gold market imaginable

my raid which killed Ghuun a month ago has ppl at lvl 25 HoA… Doesn't really matter when it comes to Ghuun. It'll be shit next tier though, no traits… And nothing will be done because the guy with the lowest HoA level of all is the Raid leader/Guild leader lmao. Just cannot be motivated to farm AP. I'm 35 myself and that's 2nd highest in the guild atm, but nowhere near the required level to get all defensive traits on the next tier sets (I'm a tank, so those defensives is what I want). The system sucks balls, I'm infuriated they froze the weekly decay. When I saw 30K AP required for 36 I logged off and won't log back on until 22 Jan lol.

To be that low HoA they pretty much must have been raid logging for the vast majority of the expansion
I didn't log on for the last ~45% of BFA (highest AK) and didn't farm aggressively while i was playing before, my HoA is 28.6.
World record is 44, that's like 245k AP per ding right now - they're a million AP up on people in the early 30's. They are the ones that are farming
Raid logging and having nothing else really matter is good in some ways, WOD had some level of quality to it because of that but i don't think it works very well in the BFA design.

Its significantly easier to keep your neck up with just minimal effort every few days than trying to grind it out in the last few weeks. Our guild has some that farm and some that dont. The raid team has a spread of 40 at the high down to 31 at the lowest.
Keeping up with your weeklies/emissaries make you so much more in the long run. I spend maybe ~2-2.5 hours a week doing the island weekly/emissaries/incursions now and my neck is almost 37. I do no extra grinding of wq/islands, but do M+ pretty regularly (and then raid kills when we raid as well).

Yea I'm not saying the heart level itself is that big of a deal. Maybe if we had some 1% wipes it would have been the deciding factor, but otherwise it's not really our biggest hurdle. My issue is more with it pointing to a larger problem which is just simply that my guild doesn't seem to give a crap about killing this boss. For example, the people who can't be bothered to do their weekly M10 or AP grinds are the same people who are probably not analyzing logs or fixing mistakes after a raid night. This is most likely one of the biggest reasons we're entering our 4th week of Ghuun progression (post-nerf btw) tonight.
It's not a major deal since I personally don't care too much about CE (or any achievements for that matter). I just want to play the game with people who want to improve and actually want to be there. Our GM knows that I'm looking for a new guild and he pretty much straight up told me he wasn't even sure if they will have a full lineup for BoD regardless

My heroic-clearing casual guild is slowly dying from lack of subscription renewals. We killed heroic Ghuun. The weekly M+ and farm runs didn't keep enough people's interest. They looked at the period of time until the next raid is released and judged it was better to switch to something else. I expect few will re-up on January 22nd.

My guild leader really wants CE but I have doubts we'll get it. Likely going to kill mythrax this week but ghuun takes a whole another level of coordination.
If any of you want to help for ghuun let me know.
