Pats now have to replace Wilfork, Revis, and Vereen, maybe Browner too I also think people vastly overrate the Patriots ability to repeat. In the 10 years since they won #3, they were the best team in the AFC at least 5 times, probably 7 times, and won 1 title. The Colts, even though they kind of suck, can win 1 game by virtue of having Luck, the Broncos are the Pats equal if Manning is 90% by the end of the year (instead of 40%), the Ravens nearly beat them this year, and the Super Bowl is always going to field you a hard opponent. I mean, its not like they were some sort of lock to win this year either. So you're saying repeating as champions is hard? Thanks for that lol. Patriots will hopefully look into someone like Cromartie if they lose Revis, Browner can be replaced, Wilfork was less effective than his usual self but they still need someone else. Colts actually get my money on coming out of the AFC next year, that defense just got better and the running game could be there. Yes, but I feel like so many people have written Manning obituaries and have the nebulous "feeling" that the Pats have the Colts number so the perception is no where in like with reality.
Edited: Damn you autocorrect.

Well the Pats have historically had the Colts number minus 1 year. I get the feeling that might happen again this year with how they've been building, and the Pats put themselves all in a bit last year to give Brady another win. Offense is still stupid good (need a pass catching RB) but the defense could be mediocre outside of the LB corp. Denver has gotten weaker so far this offseason, all... 5.5 hours of it
Revis is officially back in that disgusting Green... At least now we can focus elsewhere 5 years, $70 mill, $39 guaranteed, $33 in the first two is what I'm reading

Re: Drop Rate Graph: Didn't Golden Tate have a really low drop rate before Detroit signed him? I thought they overpaid and it might not have been a good idea to sign him but he had a great year last year.
I just heard Stephen A. Smith on SVP and Russilo today. That guy is a coward, casting aspersions about Kelley and then being unwilling to say anything outright.
EDIT: Am I crazy for thinking that's too much guaranteed for Revis?

Yeah we haven't really talked about Stephen a in here amid all the free agency moves
But I really hated what he had to say. He brought a race debate into somewhere it totally did not belong. He is completely of touch with the public sentiment in Philly and forced me to listen to racial debates all day today on sports talk rado. Ivery never had such a personal beef with him as I do now.

I don't like it either. It's just an easy way to create drama that will get way more attention than it deserves. It's just mudslinging without any proof to try and get more people to listen to him. TUNE IN TO FIRST TAKE TO SEE WHAT CRAZY SHIT HE'LL SAY WITH SKIP BAYLESS NEXT!!

It sounds like something he would of picked up in a chain email. It seems pretty clear to me this was an attention grab and not well thought out and/or researched. You can ask the players in private and they'll tell you who's racist. The NFL isn't significantly different about race related issues than any other mainstream group. The unique thing about the NFL is that there is a disproportionate amount of reliance on black people. Outside of sport/entertainment there really aren't any groups that rely so heavily on (hard to replace) black people.
There's always going to be some people who have a hard time relying on a black man for a QB/RB/etc... Doesn't even mean they are consciously over/under valuing players based on their race, just that NFL coaches aren't immune to the same prejudices we all are exposed to.
That being said insinuations like Smith made don't help anyone but himself and his money people.

He lost '12 to an ACL but he's shown that isn't a problem and other than that hasn't had any serious injury problems though. He is the highest earning non-QB player now along with Suh and Julius Peppers. I get people want to get paid, but after earning $85 million I had hoped the chance to win games with a team that has a history like NE would convince him to come back. I understood Talib going to Denver more than I do this. GM may be gone but the owner let him leave on those terms an that team isn't going to be much better this year.

Yup, let's burn those jerseys!
Nah, holy shit this is a cynical game, it's fkn scary!

Jason Worilds retiring. Last thing I expected at the age of 27.

Just a quick question; what's the difference between the terms 'All-Pro' and 'Pro-Bowler'?

No one can replace Revis period. This guy is the Deion Sanders of this ERA. We aren't repeating as champions with the corners we have. But again we did made it to the Super Bowl with cover 2 and then lost. The only thing I can hope for is the Patriots go balls out on the remaining pass rushers left and just focus on the front 7 and just pass rush the shit out of everyone. Without some pass rush or a shut down corner we are fucked and majority of Patriots fans know it.
Also I'm still waiting for the tampering charges on the Jets. Oh my bad since it's not the patriots doing it its okay you guys!

all pro is like the same in NBA, the best at each position. pro bowler is just anyone who made it to the all star teams

So Bradford is officially the Eagles starter going forward apparently. Can't say I'm not shocked... I mean you went out and found the one QB in the league less mobile than Foles at 10x the cost. If Bradford gets injured, like many fans expect at this point, then things are going to get REALLY ugly in Philly.

Now the eagles signed Ryan Mathews to a 3 year $12 million dollar deal. I think Kelly has lost it. Mathews will probably play 6-8 games this season. He's recruiting a bunch of injury prone misfits.
