LOL. it is fantastic that you are such a great fan of mine that you put effort into following my posting history. you should try reading the content of my posts. How is Alex Anthopolous doing? Alex Ovechkin? ya, thought so. i'm not multi-accounting, Big Ice is already in the NCAA. And NHL ice surfaces grew from the 70s to the 90s. They'll grow in size again. The increase in size of the players will force this change. This flak i'm receiving for advocating for bigger ice is the same any man gets for being ahead of his time.
So what exactly is your arguement for the big ice being better? The Games are less entertaining and its not even like it makes the game a hell of a lot safer as far as a player safety point of view;
The concussion rate in NCAA women’s ice hockey is 2.72 per 1,000 player hours. For men’s ice hockey it’s 1.47 per 1,000.
The NHL has a running total of concusions per 1000 man hours as well. As of 2013 this number was a not so staggeringly similar 1.8 concussions per 1000 player hours.
Why is it that the league with no head shots are allowed at all, with no fighting, AND the bigger ice surface only accounts for an increase of 0.33 concussions per 1000 player hours? There are sixty minutes in a game, or one hour: out of 21 skaters, only 6 on the ice at one time. So, playing in one game is approximately 0.286 Player hours... In the NHL there is approximately 1 concussion every 46 games league games played. That is actually rather small. In the NCAA this Number is 56 league games played per concussion. That means that in the NCAA there is 1 concussion for every 1.22 concussions in the NHL, assuming they played the same number of games.
[1000 player hours / 1.8 concussions = 555 hours per each concussion in NHL over NCAA; 555Hours per concussions / 0.286 hours per player per game = 1940 games played per concussion; 1940 concussions per player game played / 42 players per game = 46 league games per concussion]
I'd compare these numbers to the European leagues or the CHL, but those numbers aren't readily available.
There is hardly any quantitative proof that the larger ice surface is safer for players. You can sit here and say I am giving you flak because I find the small ice game more entertaining than a big ice game of hockey, but dont tell me I am some Neanderthal that just wants to see guys get hurt or doesn't care about player safety. That is crap.

I hate how less physical the game becomes on larger ice because it's more of a risk to try and tackle someone and fuck up and give away breakaways/2on1's etc. You pretty much never see any nice open ice hits in the Swedish leagues.
And all the endless passing instead of going on the net -_-

lol yah look at my posts and u know why im right
hows john travolta doing? thought so
don't even argue you dont even hockey

hahaha, look at what happens when you google search the Oilers roster:

Whoa, barely recognize Smyth with teeth. Had too Google to figure out where this photo was from. Turns out that pic is from a charity game during the NHL lockout season. That is one nasty sweater

And yes you are the proof is right there lol
Flyers hater O_O. There is nothing wrong with this backhander. Hockey101 getting the puck to the net is never a bad play. Granted that Giroux scored his 2nd goal, this one being the GWG makes it great. The fact that he is skating away from the net AND is checked AND controlled/settled the puck after the blast from Streit makes this gold.

I believe he's using "stupid" as a good adjective there.

Lundqvist just doesn't seem to be playing very good this season. Makes me worried for the olympics since in Sweden he is pretty much considered god tier player since the 2006 olympics and will probably be the starter even though Jonas Gustavsson seems to be playing the best out of the Swedish goalies right now.

Edmonton aka Yakcity lol

That's a good stupid haha.
And Hank, eh, he's been a little bit down, dropping a few stinkers here and there. However, it can't be stated enough how shit that defense looks under AV. They constantly get caught pinching at bad times. That buffalo game a couple weeks ago, he must have seen half a dozen odd-man or breakaways in the third alone. (Hank was money in that game though). The breakout passes from the blueliners are occasionally great, but most of the time they turn into horrible turnovers that don't even make it out of the zone. Failing that, the defenders seem to be in the business of just getting straight up clowned in ways that don't even have to do with coaching. MDZ got smoked on Sutter's goal in the Pens game. Faulk got beat bad too recently (I think that game?) and had to take a penalty because he just got beat outside on an in-out move. As a team, the Rangers look like shit in their own zone. In that Pens game, everyone was back and somehow Crosby was left wide fucking open in the high slot/circle area. His got his one timer off and Hank just barely saved it. That shit happens with regularity.
Basically, I think by himself, he's having a very pedestrian month for the most part, but the defense has been fucking brutal all season.

NHL needs a "GG WP" option....St. Louis is completely manhandling Edmonton.

Somehow the Oilers are even worse than they were last year.
-.-
It defies logic. It defies life.
How the hell has the entire management team not been shitcanned five times by now?
-.-

St. Louis is a good team that's well coached... you guys weren't doing that bad in the first two periods but I turned it off after it became 4-0 in the 3rd lol.
Let's be miserable together!
