God only five games for neal is fucking offensive after he tried to put marchand in a wheelchair. And if thorton gets less than 15 its just as fucking awful. I wish that game had been canceled due to the untimely death of the nhl wheel of justice. What a fucking disgrace to the game.

I've watched that thornton on orpik a few times now and I just can't figure out where all the damage came from. It looked like he pulled him backwards and gave him a couple shots to the mug with a gloved hand, I didn't count any more than two, and they didn't even look that forceful. the Kneeal was a lot worse imo

It just looks like really bad fucking luck for orpik, but that doesn't excuse it. This is the kind of shit that puts me off hockey for a couple of years every few years. I get that people want to keep the game exetremly phsyical, but the wheel of justice has to spin harder with shit like this so the kneeal and what ever the fuck we call what thorton did stops. Of course that wont stop little shits like marchand and slewban from playing just far enough over the edge to avoid suspension.

I read somewhere that Orpik might have been knocked out when he was pulled down due to his head smashing the ice, so he was already out when he was being punched. Dunno if that's the case or no, but it seems plausible.

All Ovechkin does is score goals from the top of the circle on one timers and somehow he always ends up on the top of the circle, uncovered. Like shouldn't someone have noticed by now that maybe they need to put a man on him and leave him there?

Getting open is a skill. Covering a good with an explosive first step and a real good awareness is a difficult task. You can't just designate a forward to stay in one spot in coverage, that would allow the other team too much room.

"a man" cant be both "on ovechkin" and "leave him there" (at the top of the circle) at the same time.

Ovechkin is a great all around goal scorer player in every aspect, nimble, acceleration, top speed, shooting accuracy, variety of shots, deception. do not try to minimize his accomplishments by this "all ovechkin does is".

that said, i have not watched him this year. if he suffers a leg injury he could lose all these qualities i've attributed to him.

isn't he almost up to 400 career goals now? he is full value for every damn goal.
