Like shouldn't someone have noticed by now that maybe they need to put a man on him and leave him there? sorry for asking this question.. but ummm .. do u know how to skate? if u did u wouldn't ask this kind of question. "a man" cant be both "on ovechkin" and "leave him there" (at the top of the circle) at the same time. Ovechkin is a great all around goal scorer player in every aspect, nimble, acceleration, top speed, shooting accuracy, variety of shots, deception. do not try to minimize his accomplishments by this "all ovechkin does is". that said, i have not watched him this year. if he suffers a leg injury he could lose all these qualities i've attributed to him. isn't he almost up to 400 career goals now? he is full value for every damn goal. Yes I know how to skate. And someone can absolutely shadow a player and keep that player covered at all times. Kelly Buchberger once said that his job was to stay within 2 feet of Teemu Selanne. When Teemu changed, so did he. When he came onto the ice, so did he. Thats what I am implying towards his coverage. The leafs did exactly this during a Wash PP, effectively making it a 4 on 3 power play and Ovechkin never touched the puck. And actually yeah, all ovechkin does is score from their. Probably 70% of his goals are within the same 10 foot radius. And Ovechkin doesn't do anything outside the offensive zone. 397 goals now

That would be hot... Martin Jones. Sick start to his career. 4-0, .974 S% and 0.74 GAA, 2 shutouts. If Quick came back for the next game can you even put him in net?

The young guy has a better record, lower GAA, and the same number of shutouts despite playing in about a third of the games. of course, we just made King Henry the highest paid goalie in the league. LOL Yeah don't worry about King Henrik. You'll get your moneys worth. But it is a similar situation where I think the hot hand should be ridden and let the superstar play back-up.

I just dont understand wtf is wrong with the Rangers. The D has looked like ass. Caught out of position so often in this system. The offense looks miles better than Tort's dump and chase plugger bullshit, but it still sucks outside of Nash, Kreider, Zuccarello and maybe Hagelin. Callahan has looked like shit. Richards was looking good but has cooled off a lot. Stepan is very up and down this year, and sucks fucking ass on faceoffs. Faceoffs are hurting, esp considering how much AV loves his zone starts. I think Boyle is the only guy above 50% right now? And he's about a 30% offensive zone start if he is lucky. Dude eats hard minutes so that Stepan and crew don't have to, and we lose the fucking faceoff damn near 60% of the time. That hurts. AV has said a few times that this team isnt built for his style and that's probably true. It's built more for what Torts wanted. But still, he's got more than enough in his top 6 that there shouldnt be a fucking issue. Ive read a couple times that the first pass from the dmen has sucked... yet he benches the dude who far and away has the best first pass on the team. a;sdflkja;dsfkajs;
