Or shit goaltending by the losing team.
See Chris Osgood/Mike Vernon circa 1996, Marc-Andre Fleury every year sans one.
But hey, saying there is more than one factor involved in something happening is overly technical and doesn't fit the Roy as god narrative.

Lol, you're right. It had nothing to do with one team having players like Sakic and Forsberg and the other having a leading scorer named Scott Mellanby. loooooooool. The teams were identical besides goaltending! Hero Roy! ermahgerhdbestgerlternderrr
edit: Shit, I just responded to Jimmy. That's like giving the drunk, obnoxious kid another beer. Sorry guys - won't happen again.

The best part is where we go on for a fair duration of ignoring him and he just gets his alts to reply to each other. Anyways, really hoping Montreal takes it to seven tonight.

Question for the non-French Canadians. What do you find more distasteful: a Canadian team not winning the cup again, or Montreal winning the cup again?

I'm not an alt of Raynor. I have my own thoughts, and opinions. My team is the Washington Capitals, since I live in DC.

loool, yeah. At least we learned that a playoff SV% of 898/864 isn't shitty - which honestly explains the MAF defense. Also hoping for a game 7. This series has been too entertaining to end already.

I'm saying they had shit goaltending in the '96 playoffs which contributed to the Wings losing. Or is sub .900 awesome now, you guys tell me? No one is talking about any other years.
edit: fuck, did it again. Got fooled by the 3rd-person use of Jimmy. I'm going to have to pay much better attention if Jimmy is going to refer to himself in 3rd person in his posts. Confusing.

Montreal winning the cup again.
But I'm mostly a salty Albertan that is tired of Quebec wasting my tax dollars... so feel free to ignore me.

Montreal winning is much more distasteful... The only Canadian team sans Leafs that I wouldn't find distasteful winning would be the Jets and that's just because I didn't grow up hating them :d

As a British Columbian that dislikes Quebec I'd still rather see Montreal win than an American team. Most people I know feel the same way (about Quebec too xD). Might be an after effect of the Canucks being the Canucks.
