Price is dialed in. Boston is not beating him tonight with anything less then a crazy deflection off 2 guys

Price is dialed in. Boston is not beating him tonight with anything less then a crazy deflection off 2 guys or Price goes behind the net and bounces the puck off the back boards and right to a Boston Bruin. Price is a great puckhandler but he does make mistakes. even when he is "dialed in". i notice the touted "smartest hockey player in the world" has another goal tonight.

The reffs called Subban for hitting his own teammate, but they wont call hit from behind and at least 2 slashes vs Subban... No penalties period outta those two stripes. Two penalties all game. Subban for elbowing his own dude and Soderberg crashing into Price. They set a low standard of play early so now they can't call anything except the most blatant and obvious of clear cut penalties. I doubt they'd call a high stick unless it was a double minor

However, the referees put their whistles in their pockets all game and "let the players decide the game on the ice". So, in a way you have to credit Subban for figuring out exactly how much he could get away with.. and then doing just that. " if u ain't cheatin' , you ain't tryin' "

Todd Bertuzzi would have gotten just a roughing minor for what he did to Steve Moore if they played in that game. Not impressed with officiating at all these playoffs. Seems like in some series the refs are calling it kinda tight and in the other series the refs are letting everything go

I would say he's the 2nd best offensive defenseman in the league. And then mediocre on the back end. He;s damn exciting to watch because every choice he makes is high risk/reward. I swear he's on the ice for every goal, like for both teams! I would also say that the Bruins are out playing Montreal in the series by quite a bit, but Montreal currently has the player in the series Carey Price. And right now that best player is beating the better team. Either the Bruins are going to have to solve him, Rask is going to have to stand on his head also, or they are in big trouble! +1 in terms of the very basics of hockey, shooting passing, skating, acceleration, nimbleness, etc Subban is top 5 amongst all defensemen... he may even be #1, i don't watch enough NHL to say whether or not he is #1. Subban makes bad decisions which then puts him into the top 20 area you've mentioned. people see Subban make some kind of play that only a handful of players on planet earth could make and that is when they get all wide-eyed about how Subban can be "the best ever". I got a chance to see Subban at the 2009 WJHC several times and his performance was worth the price of admission. Unfortunately, i still see him making the same bad decisions he made in 2009 as a junior..
