Yeah, Bernie shit the bed hard in Ohio. His message should have done a lot better there.
Ohio has faired somewhat better than Michigan in terms of recovering from the 2008 recession, so it isn't altogether that surprising that Sanders is not performing as well there. That said, Sanders definitely didn't expect a loss this big.

I still hope he and his supporters join and strongly support Hillary for the general election. The passion displayed by Sanders' supporters was great to see. Let's unite and work together to hand the GOP a resounding defeat in November
There isn't much chance from what I've seen that Hillary will capture much of that passion. I really fear for her in the general election if it's against Trump.
I'm not spiteful enough to not vote for her in the general and not young/unengaged enough to sit out because of apathy. However, I know many another Bernie supporters who are. I have doubts she will win this election given she is about as exciting as Gore and Kerry.
When she gets a chance to get in depth in policy I think she is really impressive. In a general vs Trump she'll never get the chance, but what he'll have to do (personal attacks) to avoid it would kill any other candidate. But maybe not Trump?
I'm going to have to disagree with that. Hillary's smart but watching her talk about policy is about as invigorating as doing dishes.
I think the reason here is that politics is dull and tedious. Hillary Clinton is probably the second best public speaker in US politics behind her husband.
As for those who make it more interesting, one of my favourite sayings is: for every complex problem there is an answer that is clear, simple, and wrong.

I wouldn't trust the polling. Trump is generating the most excitement and pulling huge crowds anywhere he goes. Trump has Reagan'd you all and he'll win you all over yet.
Thank god America is going for the icon of Capitalism instead of the Communist Jew. Whew, Bernie pretended you could be Norway but was going to turn you into Brazil.

All religions are shit. Islam just happens to be the most shit.
Islam does not assimilate into the western world even with all the liberal programming. Scratch the surface the ideologies, dig deep. The richer more affluent users of 2nd and 3rd world countries assimilate better.

Watching anyone is relatively speaking. But when policy is the topic and sound bites don't cut it, she comes off better than any politician I've seen lately.
Well, we now know for sure. It was already clear when no good candidates emerged. But now we can look towards 8 years of Clinton, and a total consolidation of the 0.1%, or 8 years of Trump.
I mean, the only was this is not happening is if somehow Cruz wis anyway, and he is honestly crazy as opposed to Trump's fake crazy.

We are living in amazing times.
with respect to hillary and corporatism, i'll say this. she relies on left leaning mainstream economists, who were as a group more rightwing in the 90's than now. economics as a discipline is just improved with more focus on development dynamics, inequality and whatnot. it's fortunate that economists are respectful of empirical data and the models do have space to incorporate empirically observed concerns as they arise. so while it would probably be correct to criticize clinton administration for failing to address the downside of their liberalization policies, the 'establishment' is giving proper attention to the issue and there is really a path forward without need for radical revolution.
there is some on the left that think being involved in corporate issues is contamination but like it or not government has to foster a good business environment. it is important to distinguish between being pro-business as an interest group and pro-growth, which should involve vigorously enforcing anti-monopoly measures and really try to build a long term strategy for controlling global capital.

Ohio was a bit of a stretch.
I'll laugh so hard when Trump loses at convention; the drama will be delicious. Pretty much anything that happens regarding Trump will be hilarious; even 8 years of presidency.

Better ban them all! After all they might blow themselves up! And some Europeans think the same way!
But only ban them temporarily, of course, while we develop our questionnaire to confirm the ones we let in aren't terrorists.

I'm much more worried about Cruz than Trump.
I'll eat my own hat if Cruz wins at the Convention.

This is what scares me about Trump. It's that he is still seen as a joke. Like... the worst thing that can happen is that he is hilarious.
No, he's a moron. You don't want a moron in charge of the most powerful army in the world. That is not hilarious.
Oh, and @Souma: yeah, it's really scary how the GOP have the choice between a moron and a lunatic. But at least I'm confident the lunatic cannot win the general.
