As for the brokered convention, the Republican Party is fucked either way. Either they send Trump up as the nominee or they send somebody else up, splintering the party. Either way, you deal catastrophic damage to the party. I'll play devil's advocate here and say that it might not completely have served Trump. There's not a 100% conversion of Rubio to Kasich/Cruz supporters; if nothing else, some might have stayed home. Especially in Florida, where Trump was fated to win no matter what, making any dent in his popular vote margin helps justify haggling at the convention.

Now I'd like to see if Hillary is going to work to get the leftists on board, or if she's just going to move to the center and forget about appealing to the left.

He was a welcome addition in the race, and I like that he pulled the Democrats to the left. His (mostly recent) attacks on Hillary based on the donations she's received from people working in the financial sector were disappointing, though. I still hope he and his supporters join and strongly support Hillary for the general election. The passion displayed by Sanders' supporters was great to see. Let's unite and work together to hand the GOP a resounding defeat in November ![]() There isn't much chance from what I've seen that Hillary will capture much of that passion. I really fear for her in the general election if it's against Trump.

I dunno, but I was really, really, really not on board with the idea that it would be "Bush vs Clinton ezpz" like they were suggesting back then. I can't say that I'm all that surprised.

I'm not spiteful enough to not vote for her in the general and not young/unengaged enough to sit out because of apathy. However, I know many another Bernie supporters who are. I have doubts she will win this election given she is about as exciting as Gore and Kerry.
