Not if the leadership can cite that 50% of the party would be unsatisfied with him as the nominee but >50% would be satisfied with someone else. In fact that's happened at previous contested conventions.
It's not first past the plurality post, no matter how much Trump would whine about it. That's the point of the system.

Because he has words. You need 'em for deals.

So how is this looking for Trump, is 4/5 states good or bad to be on course? I know he was hoping for Ohio, but he will still leave today with 690~ delegates out of his needed 1237.
Through a quick count on wikipedia, there are 912~ delegates left, and he will need 547 of those. Now roughly half of the states left have winner take all elections, so that would play in his favor. If he wins Cali he will need 375 out of 740.
What would you guys put as his odds to be able to get a majority, and how will things change with Rubio being out?

Now, now. They're not all xenophobes. Some of them want to make Muslim-American citizens register at mosques or bar them from returning home as well.

All debates on how wonky Missouri and Illinois math shakes out. He was held in NC so it will need to be good for him.

The real reason for the populace outrage though ... well other than of course the natural outrage to crime. And whether that ideology is malleable and evolving or not.

Sanders attacking Hillary directly. Disappointing that he's decided to help the GOP.

Seems like a no-win situation for the GOP.

What would you guys put as his odds to be able to get a majority, and how will things change with Rubio being out? Trump will probably finish within 100 delegates of a majority, which will be enough to get the nomination at a brokered convention.

He wrote the art of the deal, he's leading the polls, endorsed by Sheriff Joe, speaks his mind, hates the media, hell are there any reasons NOT to vote for him?

No disagreement there, just look at Nyxisto. People like him are the reason why there was an upset with the AfD - politicians ignore legitimate concerns, or play them down - so people went to the other extreme. I'm not saying that the AfD is a good thing, it isn't at all. But i can understand every person who voted for them out of protest of how the german government (amongst others, like the president of police etc) handled the whole crisis.

It is literally impossible and we have to accept this. Only Immortan Trump can show us the way. But do not become addicted to freedom. America cannot become great on the backs of addicts.

It's great that fair weather fans have now made their presence felt in the democratic process by listing the fact that a candidate is leading as reason to vote for him

Just FYI Bernie is still going in on Hillary, so I wouldn't count on him turning away from going after her during her likely upcoming losing streak.
Time to see if her "inevitability" and success thus far is/was enough to turn the tide or if she'll have to fight upstream against 6-8 Sanders wins in a row having Trump and Sanders with her in their cross hairs.

I have no idea what the process works, but what percentage chance would you give Trump if he had 1150~ delegates to being nominated?
I mean they can't realistically choose Kasich when he will have like 200 seats, or someone like Romney instead, can they?
