I don't think the GOP can be seriously for small government beyond the slogans. They're for big government with the GOP running it. See: Ryan budget, any number of omnibus, farm subsidies and general pork. The Tea Party revolution was for small government, the party hasn't been for some time now. The standard bromides on benefits and the American worker are essentially bipartisan, though the plans aren't too similar.

Party heads have preached (lied) about small government intentions while basically being cronyist, and really letting the government expand.

I still can't believe Trump is still running and is so far ahead for the republican nomination that he actually has a chance at winning. This has to be some sort of horrible distorted reality like the movie Idiocracy. He is such a hate filled, racist, rich pompus asshole and he's actually popular!

And thats just within NKorea's own border. The China-North Korea border is fairly porous; China now has its own "undocumented worker" problem with North Korean laborers. On the subject of China, the recent stock market crash has me worried. If China goes into recession, it may affect both Europe and the United States, with less-than-predictable effects on the election cycle.

It's nasty, but I think the US is relatively immune. What I'm really worried about is all those subprime construction loans... all the ghost cities in China were built with leverage and it's coming back to haunt them. it's almost like they had a blueprint.

Well it's because people like the fact that Trump is politically incorrect + doesn't appear to be bought-out + many people still haven't heard of Bernie Sanders + everyone's heard of Trump + some people appreciate a healthy dose of xenophobia and bigotry.

If he were generally smart and had feasible policies, I wouldn't mind his being a bit rude. I still hope he won't get away with being a sack of wind much longer, but I feel the hope is fading. The problem with the US electorate is that you have the normal percentage of idiots, but then you also have Fox news who turn normal people into idiots and idiots into full blown morons.
