The man thing prompting the creation of this thread is a Vice video I have only just seen, titled "Asses of the Caribbean". A link to it is here, although I would like to say that a short section right at the end of the video is NSFW, and there is a good 15 seconds warning or so that it is coming up.

The short version is that in the north of Colombia it is normal for men to have sex with Donkeys. Particularly when they're young, one man says they do it every day. It's completely acceptable and parents actively encourage it.
The motivations behind it range from claims that it increases penis length to the fact that it is a catholic country and woman won't have sex before marriage. I guess it's just a peculiar masturbation alternative.
I thought I would find it a lot more shocking, but in some way I'm not actually that surprised. Whilst it still disgusts me, the people in the video certainly don't seem to see that side of it at all.
So mainly I want to share the video, and see what other people thought of it. But also is it really that wrong? Is it a societal thing that means most of us will be disgusted by it? It just seems "immoral" but I guess that's not an argument; murder is arguably somewhat ingrained in humans as immoral but things like paedophilia in Greek society I believe were actually viewed with high regard and as moral.
EDIT: Also, a Norwegian school teacher showed this video to his class to promote thought about different ways of viewing sexuality and the inevitable happened and teachers got him fired:

Meh.... it's not my bag of tea but my philosophy is no harm no foul. People doing donkeys, so long as it doesn't harm them, isn't really causing harm to anyone, so I don't really care. I don't have the urge to call them disgusting either, it's just a different way of viewing sexuality, that's it.

Well, I don't think it's such a big deal, honestly. As long as the animal isn't hurt, I see no (f)actual downside aside from breaking with social conventions.

My overiding sense of 'meh' has won the argument in my head. Bestiality isn't my thing at all, but bestiality is somewhat irrelevant since it seems the only reason they do it is due to lack of girls and a macho society, not because they are actually attracted to other species. So it seems bestiality isn't the problem here, 'cultural differences' are.
