A very good sign indeed (for Obama and those who support his policies at least).

Of course this shouldn't matter in the first place, but the the fact that the majority of one of our leading two parties is so stupid should worry everyone. Go USA!

There are always extremists, but they usually don't get enough momentum to pass a law like in Arizona or put forth a reasonably popular presidential candidate like Trump (i literally laughed out loud as I typed that). What this indicates is that more moderate conservatives who usually are able to find more legitimate criticisms are desperate. A very good sign indeed (for Obama and those who support his policies at least). He did it because a lot of the doubters are independents who probably will change their mind on him now that he has released it. I think he waited until now to use it as a tool for his next campaign.

I hope people (especially politicians) can now focus on stuff to actually improve the life of their supporters. edit: Donald Trump says "I'd like to know how does he get into Harvard, how does he get into Colombia if he isn't a very good student," Trump said, asking why the president doesn't release his college records from Occidental College. "If he wants to release it that's fine, if he doesn't want to release it that's fine too. But the word is he wasn't a very good student," Trump added.

It says facsimile right on it. Hawaii digitized their birth records years ago. When he handed out copies to the press, did you expect them to be spit out of a replicator from Star Trek? Nothing will satisfy a conspiracy theorist. They're like apocalypse cults whose faith just gets stronger with every failed prophecy.

Exactly, since when did our country go from being a melting pot of immigrants and cultures to a place where "you have to be born here" to aspire to the highest position in America... this "birther" thing should really be raising a debate on whether we should keep this requirement of birth in the country in order to run for president. (Yes I understand someone should atleast have citizenship and a reasonable amount of residency time in the country) On April 28 2011 01:48 Velocirapture wrote: I know there is a pretty strong anti-Obama sentiment on this site but I have to say that I find this kind of thing to be a VERY good sign. This is a website, which is on the internet, and the internet seems to be largely liberal, so I would be surprised to find a lot of anti-obama sentiment on here. Especially since I think a lot of people are at least decently intelligent on this site, and thus would hold more liberal viewpoints.
