We need a universal thread that discusses Athene and his feats in Starcraft 2. Admins were closing threads left and right whenever they saw the name "Athene" pop up, telling the people who made the threads to remake them when Athene actually did something noteworthy in Starcraft 2. The time however, has come. Athene really has done something extraordinary in the past few days. On his way to rank #1 in the world, so far his stats are 49-1, getting matched against people like qxc, strelok, happy, servyoa, basically all top master league players, murdering everyone in his way. And it is not so strange that he is able to do it, he plays INSANELY good, it is actually quite amazing how good this guy is, easily comparable to the best Starcraft 2 players in the world, if not already better. Don't believe me? Watch the replays that are attached to the bottom of this thread.
As an introduction to this thing if you are not familiar with it, watch this livestream recording of Chiren, aka Athene. He announces his goals in Starcraft 2 which include getting ranked #1 in the world within a month, beating IdrA on livestream, as well as challenging both Husky and HDStarcraft to a 1v1 where the loser has to beg his subscribers to subscribe to the other guys channel.
I am not going to go into too much detail about what has been going on, since the video pretty much covers most of the stuff. I do however, want to share some replays I have found of him to kill all the controversy surrounding Athene and his playstyle. People were saying he was cheating, people were saying he had perfected some kind of ultimate cheese. This is not the case, as you can see for yourself.
Dont forget however, this is just the beginning, in the next couple of weeks, he will be continuing his journey to become the #1 player in the world, and this thread will be the place to discuss that journey.

Abusing a new account to get mass wins is not hard, it's just abusing MMR.
So in short, he STILL has not done anything in SC2.
How is he abusing to get mass wins? For the last probably 15 or 20 games or whatever he has been playing the very best players searching. His stats are very impressive.
This guy is known to be a troll / cheater / abuser.
In my humble opinion he is just a loser craving for attention but if his little projects make him happy, then more power to him.
But more importantly, seeing his name appear on TL makes me feel uneasy, as if the forum suddenly grew a tumor. The less we talk about guys like him, the better.

Because he is starting from 0. So of those 50 games, maybe 10 or so are against top players.
