I actually think he did this intentionally. If he switched to mutas they would have gotten raped by irradiate and the mnm. Besides, He was microing his ultras really well for the most part and since his strategy was so dependent on drop I think they fit in. Maybe it wasn't an ideal counter strat but I definitely think Zero had winning chances.

It's hard to stop a double expand on Neo Moon Glaive because you can secure that area above the ramp to the nine o clock and secure both expansions. You need to drop, which is what ZerO did. That's why I feel that this strategy is useless on other maps because you can't secure a double expansion while your army is in transition from bio to mech. And if you can't, you don't have enough resources (remember your main and nat run out soon) to support a pure mech army.

I thought from the sheer number of mines and tanks and the lack of science vessels would prompt the idea that ultralisks are NOT a good idea.

You can counter his builds. You can't counter someone like Flash or Really. I'm not bashing him, I'm pointing out how this sets him back as a player.

In Skyhigh vs Zero on Collo, (after using brood on tanks), he basically went mass cow against gol/tank/mines,

Needless to say, it failed. :|

Yeah but he had nothing to defend the vessels (notice how at the end of the game he had like one vessel, if that). Also, if the mutas aren't stacked (which they wouldn't be) it's not hard to pick the irradiated muta out and send it away.

Ok, if Mutas wouldnt work, why not zergling bomb the tanks? it works pretty damn well in PvT and with infinite zerglings and overlords it should work better than rushing cows at them

Fantasy had one starport and a lack of vessels (hence he's NOT going SK terran). A well done guardian switch would have murdered Fantasy.

did Zero have the gas for a guard swap?... Guards are 200 gas each plus you have to wait for greater spire. he seemed pretty light on ultras all game, never saw a group of more than 5
