Yes, if you scout his 2hatch in time to switch to 9minpush you should do it, and then adjust the 9minpush to the 2hatcherycounter. A-yu-mi is not good for 2hatch play in general, but doable(not reccomended) vs 2hatch muta. When breaking the sunken line go for the drones and the hatchery in the expansions. If he tries to defend with the mutalisks, attack the mutalisks. Hopefully you will be able to do enough damage before they mutas are out but even if he attacks you with them there will be something like 20 marines vs 9mutalisks and your next wave of units from the 4rax will be able to do another attack before new sunkens are up or lurkers for that matter. If the hatch and drones are down, there is no reason to try to move up a ramp or such to go for the main kill if he has mutalisks out, you will have 2 bases and 4rax vs his 2 hatcheries 1 gas. Every second that passes from here is to your advantage. TBake: I guess some type of vulture opening into expansion is good. For example 1fact vult-> FE. If he opens vultures, get speed first, otherwise mines and try to secure the area ooutside his bridges while techswitching to tanks. Its always good to have him contained on destination because you can hit his natural refinary from the cliff with tanks if the location is secured for you. If you ever get a contain going like that while attacking his gas I wouldn't suggest taking another expansion. Just play it safe and beware for drops. You will have 2 gas vs 1 gas and you dont need to take chances and go for a thirdgas for a while imo. Knightpraetor: The only general answer I can give about the spamissue in the early gamestages is that you should spam in a way that gives you a good warmup with both hands. One good thing is to set f2 f3 and f4 in the start when nothing else is going on and also click on the cc and then a mineralpatch and then repeat on all mineral patches to work on your mouseprecision. I myself spam like this: scvs controlled 1 3 4 5, cc controlled 2, f2 set on main location. 123422 F2 22 s r set location and repeat. As for your other question. Generally you dont place mines with vultures during the actual protossattack if he has a bunch of zealots. This can lead to scary minedrags. If you dont already have mines placed just keep the vultures in between the tanks on hold pos and target goons with tankfire. If he has a goon-only army you should use mines during the actuall attack. Lay mines right next to the goons so he has to retreat or get splashed. This will also make it harder for him to run forward and targetfire your tanks. Jedisamurai: There should be no problem downloading the files. I don't know why you cannot. Try download from here: VOD torrent You can also check nevakes strategy playlist on youtube.com. No_eL: My guess is I wont be able to record anything for a while and if I can fix my virus i still dont like playing tvt^^ Sorry for the late answer, I've been busy lately. Also nice to see that there are over 1000 replies in this thread now:D Gl hf!

So to say it in a different perspective, what is the best time to move out based on the toss's 2nd nat nexus? When the nexus is half way done, or completely done, or at another time that is better?

Because w/o scouting and pushing out at a specific psi and if toss don't expo, it'll be instant gg. My question is that what is the optimal time to be pushing out, whats the goal? Do I want my army near his choke RIGHT When his nexus is finished (so he can't transfer probes), OR do i want to move out JUST as he is transfering probes, so when I move out to his choke he already has probes mining at the 2nd nat, but at the same time i can have more tanks... Optimal time is about 3/4 nexus done and no later by the time he slaps down more gateways. Just because he takes his 3rd, dosent mean u can just easily role him. The later he takes it the more men and a drop ship play can really screw you over. The best thing to do on python or so is push to his natural to cut off his ramp and then to use a tank and a few vul to take care of his 3rd after setting up a contain.

YPang: It depends on what build you are using yourself, you cannot push out if you don't have enough units. But lets say you have added factories in time and that you have just enough units to make a timed push and you want to know when to benefit the most from it. Generally, when doing any kind of timed push versus a protoss based on his eco not kicking in yet, you need to start the push before he has gotten any benefits from his expansion. A protoss nexus costs 400 minerals, he is transfering probes that won't be mining for 30 seconds, his gateways will be up later but there will be more of them. I would say that usually a protoss expansion will kick in and actually benefit the protoss if it has been up and running for more than 30 seconds. This means that you can push out at any time between the moment he is building the actual nexus and until his probes has just arrived there(because it will take you some time to move across the map) based on your own timings and if you have your factories up or not.

Constant harass and agressiveness from the start with vultures valks 8raxes or proxies, timingpushes at early midgame, awesome/intelligent buildorders and much more. Newstyle mech TvZ is the matchup that is evolving at the fastest rate right now and there is still alot of room for experimenting with the style. My favourite is a really agressive fantasybuild where you exploit the weakness of the zerg when he's switching from mutalisks to hydralisks and also the 8rax mech when you have 2 fact and try to harass on different locations at the same time. Sitting and waiting for 2-2 upgrades while defending is not that fun for me though, but thats just one style.

If you want to improve, your main goal is not to win the games but to actually improve your mechanics and understanding of the game. I think improving mechanics and following builds is better to start with than to start doing cute stuff and try to figure out the game, because you can do this much faster once your mechanics are better. At C- you should definately follow just a few builds in each matchup and just play play play. Watch the replays and look for suplystop and macrostop. If you notice one, try to fix it in the next game. Try to push your speed out of the comfort zone to get faster. You will need something like 250ish apm to handle terran properly in my oppinion depending on playstyle etc. Only focus on one mistake from each match and fix it. Start with the first mistake each time and it will be pushed further and further back. I recommend getting a practicepartner that likes to play standard games that are slightly better than yourself.

Anyways currently I'm C+, but im finding C+'s pretty difficult right now. (Maybe its because of the maps?). I've hit C+ like continously for 4 seasons already, and was never able to reach the shiny blue rank. Like I'd play vs C+'s and occasionally win once cuz of luck, and once I lose i'll try desperate to win my next game on C level to get back to C+. If i fail that attempt i'd lose so many games lol, all the way to like 4500...(was like this last season). I'm wondering if how long it took you to break C+ to B-, and how were you able to do it? I know terrran is a mechanically demanding race, maybe i should just mass games and hope for the best? (i've done that for a bit, but still see no results, perhaps its just iccup getting too hard...... T_T) I think one of my major flaws is trying to do too much at once, I'm a guy that likes to hotkey both of my CC's, and even makes scvs during battle because of muscle memory, because of that I don't have too much room to hotkey factories, so when i do my timing pushes TvP, I always look back at my factories, and not able to position army correctly. If i tried to focus on army more, my macro tends to slip. I'm just trying to find the perfect balance right now. I actually find TvP to be much more difficult than TvZ. Usually now, i can face almost all of zerg's dirty cheeses, but still lose to toss's.

I'm glad you like it. Generally, the level of C and C+ isn't that big and the only obstacle you have to overcome is your own mind. You have to think to yourself that its still C, because really the difference is so small. If you can overcome your "fear" it will be much easier, and you will find that you can play 50/50 on C+ ranks. This will give you enough points to boost to B-. When I started playing Iccup I had no idea what my level was. I decided to think I was really high level, so I played with confidence and that helped me alot. This should be your mindset. Quoting flash: "Lol he can't beat me" If you have problems with macroing as a terran, I reccomend that you start using the 4t5t6789 click macro that I describe in my TvP General Tips VOD, and also in DAy[9]'s podcastthread on page 19 I think. If you play with confidence, ask better players for advice every now and then and keep playing alot of games, both on Iccup and vs friends you know are about equal to you, your mechanics will increase over time and you will get better.
