I advise old KeSPA maps to be looked over again with the new capabilities of SCMDraft, some of them have terrain level bugs, some of them possibly terrible mining rates on some locations as well.
These rates on some popular maps were found by Freakling a while ago (Note that these are only for Zerg, other races have different mining rates). Some of them aren't that bad, but maybe others could be improved

Notice on Circuit Breaker (a VERY popular map), if you are playing a ZvZ on a 2 o'clock vs 4 o'clock position (the naturals), the 2 o'clock receives about 50 less gas every minute if both geysers use 3 workers. Every 2 minutes, that means that the 2'clock player is behind by 100 gas, which is the equivalent of 1 mutalisk. However, if both zergs have 2 bases one could argue it's not as big a deal and other factors play a bigger role in deciding who wins the game. Something to keep in mind though.

That's a big difference. Does the gas mining (and mineral mining) change according to the races ? Like do terrans and/or protoss gather gas and mineral faster or slower than zergs ?

Pretty interesting to see. 100 can make a difference and I agree, I think maps where there's a huge variance should be looked at again. Not sure who's going to do this though, highly doubt they'll "fix" older maps at this point.

well they fixed andromeda because the main's mineral lines were garbage enough that warranted fixing (as in workers going to the back of the minerals) so anything is possible

Yes, it varies with each race, with every geyser position, and every mineral patch. This is why you cannot just copy a resource formation and place it into another map and expect the same gathering rates. Also, whenever unit walkability is changed, pathing around the whole map is changed. So if I were to take a dirt palette brush and erase a cliff somewhere on the map, there's a chance that resource gathering routes are affected somewhere else in the map. This is (most likely) because starcraft loads up possible unit paths at map startup, and 1 change anywhere can affect pathing everywhere.
We know this because 1) we've seen it happen countless times in our own maps when trying to test gathering rates and 2) because it seems to be directly tied to the "Nooks and Crannies" bug, where the possible paths in a map exceed a certain limit and Starcraft is unable to load the map, giving this message:

Bigger map sizes like 256x256 are more prone to these errors simply because they have the potential to have more paths.
Here is a discussion as to the possible source of the Nooks and Crannies error: Staredit.net Nooks and Crannies Discussion
The reason that each race varies is because the Hatchery, Command Center and Nexus all have different collision boxes. Gas gathering buildings (Refinery, Assimilator and Extractor also have different collision boxes). Sometimes a certain race mines faster than another one on one map, and the other mines faster than the other on another. It's really case by case. The Starcraft pathfinding engine is really weird this way... Here you can see the difference:

The geyser positions don't vary THAT much from map to map in gathering rates though. The general range for a geyser that is placed 3 tiles away (no matter the reasonable offset from perfectly vertical or horizontal* to the starting location) seems to be around 240-300ish per minute on 3 workers for all 3 races.
*2 possible locations for horizontal positions.

oh god that map pool hurts my soul
why that's an awesome map pool. Swap EC with some other 4 player map and I literally couldn't be happier with it.
Soo happy they include tau and medusa. Tau is objectively the best map there is, medusa is my personal favorite. ;p
