They really broke BNET this time. The game list is not refreshing, so it takes forever to find a game that is actually current. Hopefully they will patch it asap.

I still haven't seen a solid explanation to how to get iCCup working via using 1.16. I tried renaming my StarCraft.exe, I tried re-downloading the installer--but it just recognizes that I already have the game installed. I attempted to uninstall and reinstall, however, there's no longer the auto update to 1.16 from 1.15.2, so I was forced to download the 1.18 update. Maybe I'm missing something but I don't think I should have to become a detective to figure out how to make iCCup work etc.
Plus, all of these little cosmetic features that aren't working.. like /stats or profiles, or any of the above mentioned errors.
Why jump the gun? I JUST got used to the fact I didn't have to play the PTR and got back to 1.16 on iCCup and you did this..
It's great and all with the color issues, LAN improvements, etc... but two steps forward, one step back....
Have you tried the Iccup bw client?

Just uncheck GUIfixes box from mca and when it asks to update press cancel, you will be able to log on fish. Or else simply use wlauncher only.

The lobby bug is probably related to this blue post from yesterday.
Thanks for the update. We had a problem this morning with our Database getting backed up and has left a couple of stragglers behind.
Working on fixing this right now but will require you to restart the game client in a hour or so.

It is a little concerning that they don't have anyone on call or something to put this issue down if popped back up. I think it is becoming obvious this patch needed a couple more weeks on PTR.

Just click cancel on the update notification and you can login.

am I the only one who's struggling to update everytime, it takes so long and most of the time I get an error message, something about encountering a problem and I gotta do it again

The latest update was super quick for me. The initial one took a while, it had to basically download the entire game, 1.2 gigs I think.

Channels are acting strange though. If you enter a clan channel that doesn't have ops or isn't an allowed channel it still lets you join it?
I was in a clan channel yesterday and all was well there was a decent number of people in it. Now i can still join the channel but it doesnt show anyone it it not even myself and doesn't give me an error or anything. Super confusing.

I've had that feeling since forever with 1.16.1 (and 1.15). 4sh5sh6sh7sh8sh has to be distinct keypresses without overlap. Sure it's something new to 1.18?

Overlap in keypresses is not the problem, you can test it slowly. But there is certainly something strange here.
When you go to a hatchery and press s and release it immediately it will be selected instantly. When you hold the s key it takes a small pause. The result is that you can be really fast without overlap or slow with overlap.
Oddly this is not the case for every command. You can have two hatcheries hotkeyed on 4 and 5 and press 4-5 in very fast sequence, and always the hatchery 5 will be selected afterwards. If you have hatchery 5 selected and press s-5 in very fast sequence oftentimes the larva are selected afterwards.
I have to say in the long run I hold the view that every key and mouse command you give should be counted and respected. Judging by the other thread this is not without opposition.

This is the type of communication I can appreciate. Glad to see most of the major complaints and issues are being addressed.

the battle.net interface is stupid and inferior to the old one
1) it's a bitch to join a friend's game, in the old interface you'd be able to just click alt+j>enter if you've previously already been a friends game name
2) it's a bitch to join private games, it was a million times easier to input game name/pw with hotkeys instead of typing in the search function like a retard or scrolling through the trillions of game list like a pleb. friend follow programs would make this bearable but none of them work anymore
3) there's a bug where sometimes your game name shows up on game list as duplicates, making it harder for people to join the real one you're hosting
4) why is there a buffer/loading screen when creating a games? why can't it just be instant like 1.16?
