I decided to play some multiplayer games despite not having done so in many years and forgot how to play the multiplayer customs, plus was baffled that my US East account wouldn't work for US West, I had completely forgotten about that

New updates right now were seriously rough for me.
BNET is generally laggy (not in game, just in menus), and then it looks like old games are not clearing as I see well over 100 games I "can join" at a time; but basically can't join any of them...likely because they are in progress games that didn't clear.

There are definitely major issues with game connectivity right now. I am unable to join games and on top of that, the client/game list lags and keeps refreshing. Sometimes the list of games just comes out blank.

I kinda like that idea. It's an interesting feature to see what players look at during a fight/game. But toggling between on and off would indeed be a good idea.

I have to say, playing last night I felt that ingame was just a little... off! I don't know how else to put it other than it simply felt a little difficult to control, a little clumsy. I am not sure why but something is going on there.
I didn't enjoy that you have to click the chat input before being able to type when you join a game.
I didn't enjoy that you have to click-click to select your race, rather than click-drag.
Above all, that fuzzy feeling ingame is what concerns me most. I will have to test whether it's related to any slight changes in mouse speed/accuracy...

The biggest thing to me is I feel like keystrokes aren't registering and I have to press them a second time. It feels as if the game won't register more than one button being pressed at a time, so if you are doing 1a2a3a it has to be very clean and deliberate without any overlap or the game won't register.
I'm not sure about this, this is just what it feels like to me when I play. Like my key presses need to be staccato...

1.18 needs to be fixed ASAP. my zealots aren't dying correctly anymore. the german sound effect got replaced with the english one. what were they thinking? and seriously, how can this even happen? since everything else seems to be german, at least after checking for a second.

I prefer the german sounds over the English ones, too. Especially the Corair/Scots somewhat sneezing sounds are cool. In english they just go "poof". Though I never really understood why the german version had different sounds for a few units.

So many people and pros criticezed yesterday, and they turn their mind today .
And SSL says next week they will use 1.16.1, but after that they may use 1.18.
SSL says that they found some 1.18 problems in observer mode and minimap.

Why blizz? Why would you release a patch like this and further separate the player base? I can't ladder on iCCup or Fish atm, and I don't think I've played more than 2 games since the release. I was super excited but playing vs some random noobs on US East in a public game isn't the way I get down on SC.
I still haven't seen a solid explanation to how to get iCCup working via using 1.16. I tried renaming my StarCraft.exe, I tried re-downloading the installer--but it just recognizes that I already have the game installed. I attempted to uninstall and reinstall, however, there's no longer the auto update to 1.16 from 1.15.2, so I was forced to download the 1.18 update. Maybe I'm missing something but I don't think I should have to become a detective to figure out how to make iCCup work etc.
Plus, all of these little cosmetic features that aren't working.. like /stats or profiles, or any of the above mentioned errors.
Why jump the gun? I JUST got used to the fact I didn't have to play the PTR and got back to 1.16 on iCCup and you did this..
It's great and all with the color issues, LAN improvements, etc... but two steps forward, one step back....
