Hello folks!
I recently had an epiphany regarding the current state of the german scene in Broodwar.
A discussion with a few BW players revealed that many people lack contacts in their native language in order to get attracted again to the beauty of Starcraft Broodwar.
In order to overcome this deficit i have created a Skype group for german players.
The obvious intend, besides talking about old times is to get YOU into contact with more other players!
Short summary about it:
For whom and how:
- all german speaking folks, that are looking for new or old and lost gaming contacts
- all skill levels
- write me a PM here, I'll add you on skype, or look up the main thread here: Ger Skype Group
For what it's not
- knowing the long honored tradition of BM on german forums and channels, moderate BM will be tolerated, but excessive won't be.
- SC2. There are already plenty of Sc2 contact sites/ forums for german players. If you are looking for those, you are wrong in the skype group
But i have plenty of gaming contacts and don't need noob training partners
- Well, join anyway! The more the merrier and perhaps the noobs need YOU! :D

it's not related to either of those. For clarification: i was on instarcraft.de staff until '08 i think, and im currently to associated with any of those sites. I merely advertised the group on instarcraft.de becasue its basically the only place i know of, where the german broodwar scene is still a bit active. So it's up to you (;

okay added you both. Group is doing fine so far, we reached nearly 30 members and started to do some fun tournaments/ stuff on occasion.

Is this group exclusively for German speaking ppl?
I don't speak but would like to be in the group just to be synced with BW events and occasionally play with some guys.

there are non german bw skype groups, like the sGs skype group or D ranks skype group or the "Lets keep this solely for looking games or this wont be any different from other attempted looking for games skype convo. Lets all make this work thanks" group.
While only the sGs chat is actually active, I left it, because most of the times no one actually talks about BW or plays BW in this group tho.
I'd suggest joining a DRTL or CRTL team, where most (?) teams have a skype group conversation, which is active and mostly BW centered.
I am also in the BW ger Skype group, but that is exclussive to german speaking people, I guess. But I do not think it would benefit you being in it, since only german is spoken in that group.
