This blog has motivated me to apply some thought to the issue of how/when iccup blogs are 'ok'. I think it should be declared that ICCUP should be required to provide something new or interesting.

It depends what you think the "blog" function on tl.net should mean. If the blog is supposed to be a place for people to write their own thoughts/ideas, then people writing about their own iccup accomplishments is just fine. however, If the blog needs 2 requirements (something interesting to the writer, as well as something that would contribute to some % of the tl.net community at large), then there would need to be a lot more limits.

Awesome man, congrats. My current goal is to reach C- by the end of the season, and I'm stuck around the low-D+ level. But I only have like 75 games played this season with about 38% win record.
I'm quite the opposite for matchups - ZvZ is my worst matchup and ZvP is by far my best.

I just got to C- as well, playing a mix of T and P. Feels gooooooood =)
I went 44-42 though...haha what a shitty record.

Have you been playing lower ranks? I'm pretty sure that kind of record with same rank on MOTW gets you near a C or at C level

I've been playing D+ constantly o.o and kept losing ........and it wasn't on MOTW either >_>

I always assumed that if it was generally relevant to a lot of people then it was general forum and if it was relevant to you personally then blog.

I have no problem with that distinction. It really isn't related to what I'm thinking about though since the issue is whether or not something is 'blogworthy' and you do have to agree tl has been inconsistent about how strict they are about that.

In my opinion, there must be something wrong about how you're practising. If you play THAT many games and don't see larger improvements then that, I think you need to read through the threads about how to improve more carefully and stick to those guidelines closely.

I am like too "nervous" to play iccup.. well i only am now because i want to switch race and im afraid of just getting d- straight away t.t.
Also on the map statistics, you can take out of them that you are undefeated on byzantium :D!

My goal is to reach C- (I'm D- now, recently switched to zerg), but recently I haven't been able to find the time to even hop on iccup.
But I'll get it eventually.

You should work on getting 50% at c- because you arent that rank at all until you can get over 50% otherwise it's just inflation because of the iccup point scoring system.
