EPTIf someone gives a good reason for pausing though I'll wait. But if someone goes brb need to help parents with groceries, I'm not going to sit around. Usually they'll unpause out of no where also and expect me to be ready conveniently for them.

I say '?' and wait for him to unpause, but he doesn't respond. After a few seconds I go to unpause, but while the menu is up, he unpauses! I quickly try to escape the menu and micro my units but I had already lost a lot of corruptor. Then, he does it again! I lost the battle, and then the game. This was pre-patch, pausing/unpausing works differently now (no menu, just a button press). | ||

If you want to pause in the middle of a game I will agree to waiting a minute or two at most before I will either leave the game or unpause depending on how I feel about it. | ||

I let people pause and pause myself rarely. I totally understand that they may lose their warmed up fingerspeed or they might forget their game plans during pause. so dont be a bm and call unpausers bm. | ||

If someone who understands a viewpoint that they don't agree with makes you lose respect for someone, you must have no respect for just about any intelligent person. Because most people who are open minded can personally disagree with something but still understand it. By pausing you are asking for a favor. You are saying "my time is more important than yours at this moment" and while that might be true, they are still within their rights to refuse the favor. If what you have to do for 3 minutes is so important, quit the game. I don't see why someone should be forced to wait for your errand. | ||

Feel like trolling while laddering? Butthurt because you lost a game? No problem! The built-in "annoy-your-opponent-to-no-end" feature enables you to force to him wait for 9 minutes until the game can be continued. The Pause feature is absolutely fine as it is, as Hot_Bid explained quite nicely. And if you absolutely have to go afk during a game where you believe that your opponent will unpause and don't want to quit for some reason, just don't pause. Go afk without saying anything and return as quickly as possible, so that your opponent doesn't know that you're gone. If you tell him, he will surely attack straight away...
