Hey, the second time in Paris i almost pissed my pants and I would have given him money if I had any! And I don't exactly feel like a hero for threatening a girl lol. I'm really happy my friend was there to help me the first time. If it would happen to me now, I'd be glad to give away my phone and money if that would keep me out of trubble.

I remember kind of getting mugged one time. My friends and I went to a NORML (pro-marijuana organisation) party at Auckland uni. Obviously we wanted to score some weed so we were asking different people and ended up talking to these two Polynesian/Maori guys who said they could sell us some. They seemed pretty alright and they told us to go over to Albert park across the road to do the deal. There were three of us so I guess we felt pretty safe and like I said these guys seemed friendly enough.
When we got there though suddenly their tone changed and they told us to just give them the money (they probably didn't even have any weed). There was only two of them but one of them was a big guy and he looked crazy. One friend just wanted to give them the money (they were just asking for $25 I think) but our other friend was stubborn and he kept refusing. Eventually the big guy got mad and started swinging. He managed to hit both my friends once in the head before we got our senses together and ran out of there. They didn't really try to chase us.
When I look back I'm disappointed that we had to run from two guys but we were all kind of shock and too scared at the time. Plus the big guy could have probably taken all three of us if he knew what he was doing. I think it can be a good idea to have code words with your friends so that you can signal each other to all fight or run away if a situation arises.

Never give your money to a mugger, he didn't earn it so fuck that. Here in America there's this thing called "principles" and we don't let muggers walk all over us. Here's what you should've done in my (correct) opinion.
1st you have to perform a simultaneous move that might be tricky for a novice but you've got to try it, right? You grab the gun by the top and, using one hand only, pull the rifling (or "slide") back and dislodge it from the rest of the gun, ejecting the chambered round. You can only use one hand because your other hand will be grabbing the knifing hand of the second attacker, bending it from the top down towards the inside of his wrist, disabling his grasp on the weapon. Both of them will look shocked momentarily, that's when you throw both weapons on the ground, grab them at the back base of the skull and smash their heads together, rendering both instantly unconscious.
2nd you pick up the fatter one to use as a shield incase the hombres across the way decide to start shooting, and make your escape absorbing the bullets with the now dead body. If the bros instead try to come at you for some melee engagement, you can toss the body at them like a basketball, knocking some of them down like bowling pins before you attack the others. Throw a flurry of blows about their face and neck, trying to hit their adams apples. As they're choking for air, steal their wallets and kick them as they writhe on the ground, making sure to let them know that this is AMERICA (or wherever you are) and YOU DONT MUG IN AMERICA FUCKFACE.

except i clarified it was two tiny skinny guys that had knives that would most likely not even cut through butter. It was the equivalent of beating on 13 year old emo's. Yeah i can see why you're so skeptical
