So basically it happened at around 10:05 in the morning. I was going out to meet some of my friends for a gathering when a guy out of nowhere blatantly knocked me off my feet and acted like he didn't mean it. Then he held my hand very tightly as I was about to go about my business. I couldn't break free at first but then I used a lot of effort and got away from him. At that moment I realized something just wasn't right. So I started walking very fast and as I was about to go to the police he grabbed me from behind and pointed his gun to my side. Then another guy pointed his knife to the other side.Then I saw about five other guys pointing their guns towards me from a distance. Then I was like "Oh man! I'm in some serious shit now."
So they take away my cell phone and about a hundred dollars from my wallet (it may not seem much to some but it's quite a lot considering the currencies). Then all of then go their separate ways. I reported the incident to the police. Unfortunately for me i only got a good look at the two guys close to me but couldn't get a good look at the others. So I only got to mention those two.
Surprisingly I wasn't too scared during the incident. But after a few hours now I think my psychology has very much changed since the incident.
I decided to write something about this incident and wanted to share it with you guys.Please pardon my bad English.
Ok here we go:
The day that which
started so bright,

Then I knew

I know how you feel man. I got mugged about 3 years ago. i was really drunk heading for a taxi in the city and these two guys came up and basically beat the shit out of me for my phone + 50$ :S
THe next day i wasn't really that hurt, but i was so mentally shaken by the whole experience. took me a while to get over

I´ve never been through anything like that, which is strange, cause most of my friends have been robbed at least one, or even multiple times... i guess i´m lucky (i also never cared about good cellphones so i´ve been with a 10 dollar one for like 3 years), and I never carry too much money with me, except when i have something planned to do with it. I would be pretty mad if i had lost a phone + 100 dollars to that scum...

i really doubt there were 7 guys with guns. I've been in the situations like that and when u have a fun pointed at you you start seeing things that arent there^_^

Yeah im from Dhaka but Im in U.S Georgia now, But honestly i dont want to go back to Bangladesh anytime soon

Also, the chances of the knife being fake are pretty slim.
I would try to look at in on the bright side, at least you didn't get hurt much. Not that it helps your state of mind much probably, but it could've been a lot worse :s

Did this happen in dhaka? oh man that sucks, means they're evolving. Last time I got mugged in dhaka it was by two tiny skinny guys with rusty knives who ended up reconsidering their mugging attempt and taking a nap on the floor

They were both literally almost an entire head shorter then me, skinny as fuck, and their knives were really bad, and I weigh like 90kg  when the dude tried to cut me after I wouldnt give him my phone and I saw it barely pierced my skin I just beat the fuck out of em and ran before anyone else showed up
Maybe its because of location? Mine happened in banani, maastaans here are a joke, dhanmondi assholes are much more dangerous though
