Okay, so I just played a Terran on this stupid desert map and I decided I'd cheese him with my Protoss. Little did I know there was a Command Centre flying straight over to my base while I was doing this.
I built the 2 Rax outside his base(didn't scout with my probe after I made them because I'm an idiot.) I see his 6 SCV's come to my base with a Command centre and I'm like, "Lol. Free win :-)."
BUT INSTEAD THE WORST POSSIBLE THING HAPPENS....
HE SITS THE COMMAND CENTRE DOWN NEXT TO MY MAIN AND BUILDS THE TURRENT, SO BASICALLY ALL MY BASE DIES AND I DON'T HAVE ENOUGH GOLD TO EXPO BECAUSE I'M BUSY BUILDING 4 ZEALOTS@HIS BASE TO CHEESE ^^.......................
I must be the worst player ever..lol.

I did something similar against this, except it worked.....
I went for the mass PF rush instead (looks a lot like a 1 rax FE until 4 PFs drop in his base), he went for the fast PF rush. I just had some SCVs walking around, preventing his CC from landing..... I didn't even need my own PFs.....
Seriously, it's not hard to stop..... some micro and you'd be fine.....

i guess i came late, the post makes sense to me. i am lucky enough that i can beat that when scout any enemy base and see nothing i assume cheese, even if the main is there.

1 probe to block the landing, a few to chase around his scvs, and then you rush to mothership and humiliate him..... What's so hard about that?

come on, this strategy was popular for about a week in early beta then people realized you can put a unit under the cc

This strategy was done early in beta, and isn't done anymore because its so easy to counter. (unless of course you never seen it)

Starcraft 2 is all about the build order lottery. When you get hard countered like that you cannot outplay them to win, you just simply lose. I wouldn't change your build at all because if you don't fully commit to the 2 gate proxy, you're going to lose EV.

Oh gosh why are there so many silly ppl/trolls posting here! His "rax" was obviously referring to gateways. "played a terran" means his opponent is a Terran; if you chose Terran as your race then you would say "played as a terran". And obviously he tried to proxy gateway cheese his opponent only to get owned, which explains the moral of his story (debatable use of the word 'cheese'.)
But I think the moral of this story should be, "If you cheese, SCOUT" obviously.
