It's 4:24am and I'm in my residence room at school, I am still awake.
This is because I was woken by my neighbour playing some retarded shooting / halo game with his speaker at full volume. Not to mention he has an amp as well.
Previously I've had to get dressed and walk over and ask him politely to keep it down and addressed that the sound was obnoxious and it woke me up from my sleep.
He said he was sorry.
Clearly he is not sorry, because today he's playing his game at full volume again. After 1am when everyone is asleep, use an earphone dude? Learn to have some manners and be aware of the surroundings around you. This is a school residence, not a place for retards to play games at 4am.
The time is 4:27 now in the morning, he has finally stopped and turned down his sound.
I didn't go over and talk to him today. Today I opened StarCraft and put my main speaker volume on 100% and digital game volume at 100%, then I played a game of TvT on iccup. Sometimes you just have to fight fire with fire.

Ask for his cell phone in case 'he forgets he's playing on his speakers instead of his earphones.' That way you give him a nice way out and don't label him as a douchebag.

Been there although mine was only a save file where i was about level 15 and had spent a while trying to get a Ralts in saphire. Knowing how irritating this was for me no doubt you want to explode
I had to deal with crap like this last semester. Talk to an RA about it next time he does it and the RA will go tell him to turn it down. In my experience fighting fire with fire only makes the fire twice as worse when it comes to dorms.

Back when I was a kid I accidentally saved over my pokemon red save file once. I had a level 100 Charizard. A lot of others in the 80's. 144 pokemon as well... I was so pissed at myself. It happened one day when I was speed running the game. Every weekend I would see how quickly I could beat the final four. I ended up consistently being able to do it under 7 and a half hours. PROTIP: Bulbasaur is best for speedrunning.
