I'd imagine an "Ignore Subfolders" checkbox next to the auto replay folders in the settings dialog could work, or a similar general checkbox on the "Replay auto-save" tab. Simple solution: Simply change your SC2 auto-replay folder from the default "Account" folder to the Unsaved/Multiplayer sub-folder. That way replays you download outside of this will not be auto-saved. Ah, I forgot I had "save all replays" enabled in SC2, so all my new replays show up in the Replays/Multiplayer. Thanks for the reminder, I'll go disable that setting and point Gears to the Unsaved/Multiplayer folder.
Also thanks for being so active in development of this for so long ^^.

Thanks for this. That old method seems pretty poor. I would look at process actions history and SC2 Gears was making all sorts of actions like crazy... it was even doing writes periodically, which was quite annoying.

You have to enable "save all replays", so don't disable it. Just change the auto-save folder.

The periodic writes happen because I accidentally left a debug line in the release which logs file modification dates. I just noticed it and it will be removed in the next release. The "Polling" method is not as bad as you think.

Released a hotfix 6.0.1 version which fixes the extra logs caused by the "Polling" method, also adds player full names (with player id, gateway and region) to the game info tab and to the command line export.

You should probably be more specific about your system information, as I do not have this issue... so if you want the author to do anything about it, he will need that info. (Just an FYI since this will be the first thing he needs if he wants to try and troubleshoot it)

Same here. It's a very small update and so I'm probably just going to wait for the next update to come out.

They has happen to me as well - had to download the update manually.

Strange. I tried it multiple times, and it always worked for me.

Those who say auto-update doesn't work. Can you check the logs if there are errors regarding to this? Also can you post your system spec? OS? 32 or 64 bit? Java version? 32 or 64 bit Java? How did you start Sc2gears, with the exe?
|
Is there a reason why sc2 gears always rounds down when calculating percentages? I did a multi-replay analysis of 85 games, 45 won, 40 lost and the win % came out to 52% instead of the more reasonable 53%. (45/85 = .54941...)
I tried searching for "sc2gears rounding" on tl and google to see if anyone else has encountered this but nothing came up, perhaps nobody's noticed yet?

why the time in sc2gears is real-time? is there anyway to automatically convert to game-time so I don't have to put a clock in front of my monitor?.

What exactly do I need to check? is it the diagnostic tool?
I personally run: Windows 7 Intel Core 2 Duo 2.67GHz dual crossfire 9800 GT Java 1.6.0_26 64 bit.
started SC2gears from the exe. Hope that helps.
And god dammit Dakota, I just missed JaeDong roflstomp Fantasy to write this :p

Also can you try uninstalling the 64-bit java and install the 32 bit java (the 32-bit java is significantly faster anyway)?
EDIT: test if auto-update starts if you temporarily disable rep autosave and apm alert (but restart Sc2gears after you disabled those 2).

I tried searching for "sc2gears rounding" on tl and google to see if anyone else has encountered this but nothing came up, perhaps nobody's noticed yet? No special reason, I just chose to do this. It would be inappropriate to show 100% win ratio when you have losses...

Because we're humans and we use real time everywhere. You can disable the automatic real-time conversion on the Analyzer tab of the misc settings dialog, that way all the APM and time values will be displayed using Blizzard's game-time.
