Man MMA's hyperaggressive drop style really is so smart. It takes much more APM to deal with a drop then to perform the actual drop. MMA's drops in DRGs main weren't so effective after awhile, but he kept doing them just to distract DRG while he drops everywhere else at the same time. So smart and so well played. I can't believe this guy isn't in Code S.
He is going to dominate MLG.
You can blame HuK for him not being in Code S
I fully expect to see MMA in Code S the next chance he gets.

Slayer's success can be attributed to them having Kim Gayeon on their team =)
everyone wants to win to see her smile =)
Slayer's fighting!

THis was something I was thinking about in the semis of GSTL. Can't remember the players, I just know it was on crossfire. The Terran player was put into a disadvantage against Protoss and just goes all in with what he has. It made me realize a lot of people don't think about securing a solid position on the map so they can expand more safely and reinforce their inferior force more quickly at the middle of the map when the big battle eventually has to occur.
The whole GSL experience will improve dramatically once players realize sometimes you can still win after being at a serious advantage because you played the map correctly instead of trying to rely on the big last ditch effort push.
I'm really looking forward to learning more about Dongraegu and his match ups versus Z & P. IMO the best players have to have a very high win ration in same race match ups and they can be solid in the mixed race match ups.
Also I'm wondering how long GUineapig will stick it out as random and if he gets enough experience to successfully macro with all three races to add to his pretty solid early/mid game pressure builds.

MMA wins everything, MVP award and then gets the girl. Now all he needs to do is win the super tournament.

Am I the only person that noticed DRG making an Ultralisk Den but not actually making any ultralisks? They would have been very useful

I blame it on MMA setting a trap for himself (1-base play) because of sc2's volatility, he is on a completely different level than HuK pretty much like DRG, people that think otherwise are just in denial.

As much as i wanted MVP to win, That last game was just incredible and amazing to watch and to go down to the 9th game. I can wait for the next season so we can watch GSTL every Thur/Friday. Im defiantly going to buy a pass for GSL &GSTL.

DRG made such a poor decision when he engaged the sieged tanks in the first large engagement with his 100+ ling army at 17:20. He hesitated to attack when MMA's army was unsieged and then attacked in the worst possible situation when MMA's reinforcements were about to arrive. Thats when the game ended (gg) and just a huge mistake from MMA could have given DRG the victory, it was painful to watch.
Great games, but the last game was not really close after DRG's mistake.

Didn't Slayers already win a title? I'm confused as to what this event was
|
Sometimes some superior player lost to inferior player because they know that they're so superior. (and made overconfident build)
(MMA to HUK) (MMA to MKP)
Anyway it's not a problem. I'm happy that Huk is in Code S as MMA will surely be Code S in the near future. ;-)

This is their second GSTL victory.

Watched the series live, have been watching it since and just finished game nine now. WOW
And for those who "know it all" and say there have been many mistakes, specially on DRG´s part: pretty easy to analise a game AFTER it has happened [and still with some very shitty analisys BTW]. After DRG´s third was up and running and he popped mutas i was sure there was no way for MMA to comeback.
And that insane comeback was much more due to MMA´s SICK hand targeting banes and insane boxer-like drops then to DRG´s bad decision-making or whatever.
MANA VS NAAMA G3, NESTEA VS SCFOU G5, MKP VS KYRIX G5 AND NOW MMA VS DONGRAEGU G9 OF GSTL 03. These deserve the word EPIC to describe them.

watch it over and over again :D
