This might not be the best TvZ ever but it was definitely a game worthy of a gstl final and I'm glad we could end this serie on a great note like this.

When he had about 20 mutas he could have gone and wrecked havoc at MMA's building facilities in the main, instead he opted on sacrificing all his forces on the terran's BW-style army.

He is a good player though, but I've seen hours of his first hand play when Xeph or whatever his name is used to stream him playing live. He is a very greedy player that relies on map distance to secure his win in MY opinion. Good game none the less.

Every terran knows that in late game on maps where there's a gold in the attack path (XNC) that PF+turrets+tanks on the gold is the ultimate goal... It was when he decided to grab the gold and all the work he had to do to secure it first rather than just take it and immediately lose it (and the game) by grabbing it too fast. He pressured his way into safely expanding while causing the zerg to play defensively in extremely costly confrontations. Sure you can simplify it to PF+turrets+tanks on gold = win but getting to that point is sort of the discussion being had here.

They never actually go into talking about the games =(

Obviously DongRaeGu did a couple a mistake and he could have thrown a second evo chamber into an Hive and manage this game better but mma was really dictating the flow of the game by doing constant drop everywhere and denying the third and fourth with good tank push. This might not be the best TvZ ever but it was definitely a game worthy of a gstl final and I'm glad we could end this serie on a great note like this. sC vs Nestea weren't without its mistakes also, IMO. Personally I don't think you can ever find a flawless SC1/SC2 game, especially when it gets to the super late game and your macro and multitasking skills have to be at the top. What made it so great was that it was so nail-bitingly close, and both players made so few mistakes, that even the slightest ones made a big difference. Also the way MMA was so disadvantaged in the mid game because of DRG's crazy macro and then managing to claw his way back to take the win.

That's why GSTL will always be more entertaining than GSL, GSL will always look more mechanical, pre-planned, it is a lot about how you prepare pre-game and a bad decision there can destroy your entire match (Nestea v Inca, I doubt Inca is really that bad overall, he just got unlucky with pre game preparation, so did MMA vs Huk). MMA and DRG will get there, eventually, but they do apparently need more training/preparation.

Pretty much the whole series was amazing. Idra would probably just call DRG a bad player and say the game was pretty bad overall. IMO drg is going to be the Bomber of Zerg. Fail constantly to get in code A, but once he gets in he dominates it and is put in the discussion as one of the very best zergs. I've seen loads of his games in first person on xeph's stream and he is very talented. Delighted MMA won though, soooooo clutch!

To get into Code A you need to be above average versus everything and have a good day. Playing Code A/S needs preparation and research, a very important skill. GSTL is all about sniping and not very hard on nerves so players play a bit more relaxed and do weird new stuff with a lot more courage - not like there's a lot on the line, GSTL is more for fun. You need to win countless matches in a row and not falter once. That's why Bomber took months and months to get in even after he was being hyped to be one of the best in the world. Then he finally got in and totally dismantled Code A.

Their current points would put them in the Top 10. Huk in Code S + Jinro in Code A is better than fOu, Ho Seo, and Fox. They would be 9th. So if they could get like five or six people to come over to Korea for ten weeks for a tournament, they would be in. Maybe they can get get something with GOM to let the people at the foreigner house play in the league on TL.
