Bow down to Boxer again! I guess DRG can be beaten lol.

No format will help them if they DON'T WIN GAMES. How is it anyone else's fault?
It's not a travesty and injustice, they just failed.

Really fun team matchup, some of the games were...odd but overall this is one of the more enjoyable series of games Ive seen played. The final match between MMA and DRG was extremely interesting to watch with quite a few nail biting moments. I think some of the posts here over simplify how it went down because basically over half the drops that kept the terran in this match weren't noticed by the observer. MMA's ability to carefully push and fall back with tanks sieging and unsieging while covering with marines AND doing multidrop all at the same time just blew me away!
Great series to end a really fun GSTL and I can't wait for the next one!!
ps Cella getting splashed was just hilarious icing on the cake of entertainment

What a game. It was so action packed as soon as MMA had medevacs for his marines, lol.
Almost every time they changed camera views, MMA was harassing DongRaeGu somewhere different relatively cost effectively with his superior upgraded marines. This was such an amazing comeback considering those zerglings of DRG in his natural early game and the early econ lead DRG had. MMA was never too crippled by baneling explosions or fungal growths in any single encounter and somehow (again with the help of upgrades) came kept taking the better of exchanges until DRG ran out of money.
Also, tank upgrades were particularly useful in taking out the swarms of lings and MMA's baneling targeting was some of the best I've ever seen.

The check was 1M, it's the prize for the best coach. But the winning team gets 10M and the losing team 5M. (10k$, 5k$)

Thorzain vs fruitdealer (TSL3)
Nestea vs Sc (GSL)
MKP vs Kyrix (GSL)
and
MMA vs DRG (GSTL)
Best TvZ's to date in sc2!
Edit: people reminded me how awesomesauce MKP vs Kyrix was

But MMA is better than sC IMO, and DRG... Idk if we can compare him to NesTea yet.

Umm no. Clear the adrenaline from your heads. Nestea vs SC semifinals was more epic. GSL2, FoxeR vs Kyrix, game 5. Nestea vs SC was better D: Oh yeah and moon vs ace at dreamhack. Geez I love starcraft
I prefer MKP vs Kyrix, then this game and as a third Nestea vs Sc

I'll give MMA/DRG the nod over SC/NesTea because of the significance. This was for the championship and the whole team while that was just a semifinal.
MMA is the most clutch team league player ever. Has won in ace matches now against MC, SC, DRG, and MVP. Impressive list.

I actually still think gstl 2 was the best but this came really really close.

Sure sucks to see them make names of themselves in GSTL but then not be able to fight for singles glory.
I like the new up down system a lot too. Makes bad players have to win a lot more games to stay in Code S and not just fluke their way through one series.

All the slayers boys cheering their lungs out, jessica crying with joy, cella beaming from ear to ear and boxer in the background with a knowing smile. This is why i love slayers, soooo much heart. How did this GSTL turn out better than the last one? Seriously. As a Zerg I idolize the few Zerg heroes out there like Losira and Nestea and DRG, but regardless I still find myself cheering for MMA over DRG. Slayers has some magical aura about them, they're just so damn likeable, and It makes me happy to see them do well.
In other news! That game was realllyyy interesting to me. There's a certain stigma in TvZ that once mutas are out, drops pretty much stop, but MMA persisted in dropping all game long. He lost so much in drops, it's almost hard to imagine that it was worth it, but when you see how he used the drops to gauge the position of the mutas and the zerg army to get his tanks sieged in a favorable location near the 4th, it's just beautiful beautiful play. DRG hardly ever even had the chance to use his mutas offensively. How many times did he try to harass the Terran base throughout the whole game, maybe 3 times? The drops put him so far back on the defensive that it almost completely negated any muta harass.

All seven GSL finals have been terrible except for NesTea/MKP.
Which is weird since GSTL Finals are Bo9. Would not expect EVERY final to go to Ace. true by now, but there were way too few Finals to judge! let's see, what the future will bring! The Last Finals were a little but more epic imo followed by the first ones (remember the Squirtle v. MVP Game?). But its pretty close.

He is laughing at the question because it was so good... says sorry (that he missed it)... and suggests he buys a ticket. 0.o
