Could have something to do with today being sunday? well the discrepency has never been that huge, plus thorzain kas are pretty huge names I think the following have an influence. 1) Naniwa > Thorzain in drawing viewers at this point imo. 2) Sunday factor. 3) Day9 and Husky factor, both having their own substantial fan bases compared to yesterdays casters. hmm true, i guess its all 3 combined
Sucks imo, cuz TvT is one of the best matchups in sc2 atm... I think people just think of BW TvT or Early tvt where it was Tank viking wars (extremely boring), plus thorzain vs kas was a lot more entertaining than this

Congratulations Naniwa. Even though 4G sucks to watch, you did what it took to win and proved why you're probably the most on form non-korean at the moment.

Gratz Naniwa, you played awesome!

Also recently rather the opposite being the reason Idra is banned.
I wonder what IdrA said to the TL staff that got him banned for 90 days.

* In general, the best part about PvPs in tournaments: one less Protoss remains in the tournament! Hell, if I designed tournaments, I would make all Protoss matches for the first rounds be PvPs to take out 50% of the boring to watch games. That or just make "no Protoss allowed" for the sake of the spectators lol
Some of us like PvPs, although we appreciate your opinion as well.

Thorzain will be a huge crowd favorite in NYC but take it from someone who follow the Swedish scene closely: Naniwa is a HUGE favorite to win.

ThorZain and NaNi have both shown awesome games this tourney! Proud of what exactly? Be born? It's not about this specific event i just get annoyed by all of the nationalism in sports everywhere.... You can only be proud of what youself have accomplished... We can be proud of our fellow swedes reaching the finals? And of course there will be nationalism, can you honestly say that you were not rooting for Hasu because he's from Germany? I was rooting for Hasu because he looks like me hahahaha.
Still, I knew nothing would hold Nani back after he won MLG. He's just too good right now.

He's still known for his bad manners in and out of games. Cue in first round of NASL, iirc.
But maybe no gg because he played poorly, sure.

He most than likely was very frustrated with his huge mistake and left in dissapointment, not because of something Hasu did.

Most people aren't complaining about the players themselves, but rather the dynamic of the matchup.
Without a gentlemans agreement to just not 4-gate PvP will always have the shortest "normal" games and lowest overall entertainment value.
I mean a BO7 Semi-final was over in under 2 hours with two stream crashes, filler announcements, and advertising.
Again, I have nothing against either player, they do the best they can with the tools they are given. They are sick heroes of SC2, they are way better than I ever will be, I just really have issues with the PvP matchup as a whole.

When a game is for a chance to win 15k you do whatever you need to (in game wise) to win. Naniwa stuck to the basics because he knew he could come out on top. It doesn't matter that the basics for this matchup might be boring to you.
Feels resentment to White-Ra vs MC a month ago. This is correct. Hasu showed some bad decision making these few games. Game 4 he did not scout for proxies and was punished with a proxy-gate into 4 gate. Every time he tried to wall off, he didn't wall off properly and let Naniwa into his base. Game 5 when it was a 4-gate battle, he chose to tech and not get sentries. This meant Naniwa straight up busted his way into Hasu's base before Hasu's tech could kick in. If anything, Naniwa exploited Hasu's bad decision making and response to 4-gates and repeatedly punished him for it. It's as simple as that. There's $15k on the line. Naniwa is not going to leave this up to chance. If you know someone always plays Paper, it's not cheese to go Scissors. It's just the correct decision.
Thank you for this, MoonBear. And thank you for the great LRs. <3
Also... DAT KYUBEY.

PvP best mirror, I guess some people don't like seeing intense micro though. Are you kidding me? PvP is the worst mirror. Sir, did you not read my entire post? Because the last part then obviously applies to you: I guess some people don't like seeing intense micro though. I don't think TvT is only about tank placement, because there is so much you can do in a TvT. Tho there were a lot of tanks in the Kas vs. ThorZAIN games. I did however like that series much better then this. TvT - Best mirror matchup PvP - 2nd ZvZ is so boring...... ZvZ is not boring if you play Zerg and know the matchup well, it's one of my favourite matchups to watch and it's probably the hardest matchup to play
Toss players say that about PvP as well. Most people think matchups with their own race is the most interesting to watch.
